Brief biography: Astaras is what is known as a "Demiurge" a powerful entity capable of the primordial creation and remaking of many things. By channeling primordial astral power he can create and shape matter like art. The size and complexity of the object will determine how much he needs to channel to achieve the magical feat. He is only shown to manage to create relatively small to medium-sized objects in this world, but claims to have created an entire world out in the Astral space where he is the strongest.

However, despite this power, he is more of a cosmic wanderer who travels through the Astral Plane, the foundational realm perpendicular to all others. He travels to learn new things to be inspired by for his arcane art. While a bit awkward and a loner he longs to make friends in any world he travels to and learn from. While greatly intimidating and generally uncanny in appearance, he is a nerdy dork and cares deeply for the good people he meets.

The Astral Gateway he created is used to travel to multiple worlds across the Omniverse and has been on many adventures in many unique worlds. His power fluctuates between worlds due to the arcane factors of each universe ranging from nearly infinite in power to being functionally mortal with a few magic tricks.
It is assumed he has a world that he treats as home that he returns to but little is known of it so far, to the few that have been told of it; he calls it his "Creation Sanctuary".

His travels have brought him to these unknown worlds, and while heavily depowered due to the new magical laws of this world, he will learn and adapt as he has always done and grow to meet the challenges he faces here.
