Brief biography: Once upon a time a blueprint for a large tower was left on a foredemon’s desk. It was to be built on Earth by its inhabitants and used for nefarious purposes. After thousands of years of committee meetings it was decided that they needed a demon to act as a universal translator for all the earthlings. Out of the demonic universities they chose a young academic named Nqngġɠohc for this job. Now Nqngġɠohc was not evil necessarily, she was simply very passionate about her craft, perhaps to the point of naivete, and liked to do her best. So you can understand her frustration when several gods noticed and sent an army of adventurers to stop the construction. Nqngġɠohc survived by magicing herself into a hole in the ground and vowed not only revenge but to help with the completion of the project whenever the construction committee gets around to it. As she is not able to make it back to hell her plan is to learn all the languages herself by adventuring so she has less to do when the construction crews actually get here. If asked whether she blames all earthlings for what happened to her friends she will deny it. If she is asked about the brutal murders of some of the adventurers from the battle she will grow uncharacteristically quiet.

Description: 

Nqngġɠohc is a female demon of average height. She has red skin and a thin tail but lacks the traditional horns, a fact which she is somewhat self-conscious about. Her hair is short, curly and black and sometimes gets in her eyes. She is a university-educated mage specializing in lexiomancy (word magic), something she is able to talk endlessly about. Though she is good at what she does she would rather figure out how a monster’s language works than how to beat it. She records this information in a magic book that she can summon from thin air, which she will do during a conversation if she thinks you said a word funny. None of this she does to be mean of course, as a demon her traditions simply seem a little strange to people from earth. She is extremely cheerful but slightly misanthropic, seemingly preferring languages to people.
