Brief biography: Eirene was orphaned at a young age, growing up instead in the small community her brother managed to involve himself in. He raised her to be a powerful hunter alongside the Arawn clan, as they'd abandoned their last names when they joined. In their world, demons borne of the darkness in human hearts manifest as shadow-beings capable of maiming and killing in the dead of night where light does not reach. Only special bloodlines can see these demons, and even rarer still can banish them. Eirene was born with the ability to do both, and it's thanks to this that she and her brother quickly rose the ranks in the Arawn clan. 

Eirene is a hunter, but that doesn't mean she's not susceptible to the negativity that bear demons. A demon of her own creation, conceived of her hatred towards the wicked who killed her parents, is intent on destroying everything she loves-- and then herself. After the annihilation of her brother and almost all of her clan, Eirene escaped to a tiny mountain town to try to escape, or outwit, the demons of her past.
