Loud and brash, Hypatia is a wild card that lives to let everyone know who's the boss Stryx around the block. Despite the general air of aloofness she carries about her, she is surprisingly aware of all the going ons of everything around her, including the complex squabbling's and comings and goings between those on the ranch, and much of the mountain itself.
   She has an iron will and can be a bit difficult to work with, near impossible if you haven't gained her trust and loyalty. It's a tricky task, but once you have she'd fly to the moon and back for you.
Surprisingly, she helps Valentina with the young and motherless chicks who end up on the ranch, and is very good at what she does. While a strict mother, she is also very loving, and will not see a single feather of her adopted children harmed. Much of the ranch views her as the 'Scary Mom', and wisely respect her as one of the oldest birds on the ranch
