Polite and gentlemanly, Cecil lets nothing get him down, not even his own blindness. He strides forth into the darkness of his life with confidence and faith in his rider to lead him right. He is a constant source of good cheer and optimism, and likes to sing softly to himself when left alone.
   He has recently developed an interest in a newcomer to the ranch, Cassia, who he has developed a close friendship with. In spite of his inability to see, he is convinced she is the most beautiful Stryx on the mountain, not because of her looks but because of her soul and personality.
