    Peacock Hunting... kinda?

"Ok Elmer this time please do NOT stare at the rare white peacock while I chase down another. That was misery." Said a small Canine huffing. He loved this Causa but lords above was this bird special. He looked into the emptiest eyes ever imagined and stared him down.

"No promises will I make. It was a pretty bird, to which I would have kept had it not been taken. The other one would have been a fun pet to. It was chewy." He said fondly. He pecked at his rider. "And I will stare all I want. These eyes see the cosmos and beyond. You would not be able to comprehend the things they see. Madness would descend upon you like it has me." He said calmly.

"Elmer I worry about you." Xavis said shaking his head. He lead the Causa into the peacock garden. Another Quest for the tack maker and Elmer insisted upon gathering feathers. What was it about the peacocks that made the strange bird so happy. He let Elmer go off to try and catch a bird. He went off to search.

Elmer calmly walked along the paths poking his head into hedges and under thing that the peacocks couldn't possibly fit in but that brought him joy and excitement. Maybe he'd find another Rock to munch. He mused back to when he made the other Causa he met weep from the irony of it. It had been a tasty rock. Alas, he was now here. Maybe he could find his white peacock friend again. This time he'd let it climb on his back. He loved smaller creatures. So cute and adorable.

Xavis padded along the paths and chased a few Peacocks here and there missing every time getting twigs and dirt in his fur. He huffed and looked over at Elmer who once again was doing everything wrong yet somehow attracting the attention of every single peacock who followed behind him in a line. They would hide when he looked behind him almost teasing him. He looked amused yet annoyed at the same time.

Elmer finally found his friend again and picked it up in his wing claws. He hugged it happy. "Hello little snowflake friend." He cooed and sat down to pet the peacock. Totally not what he was supposed to do but he enjoyed the little white birdy. He looked around and pulled a berry from a bush and fed it to his little friend. He saw his rider and watched as he put his face in his paws. He didn't understand why the little canine was so against him having the bird. He liked how pretty it was.

Xavis walked over. "Elmer you do know we need a feather from the bird not to hold it and feed it?" He said.

"Yes? But I like this bird. It is snow white like my wings. It has pretty plumage. I want to keep it." He mused happily.

"You know you can't keep it. He lives here. This is his home. Now please take a feather and let the poor thing go." He said gently.

"I will let him go when I am good an ready. For now I am happy to hold it." He said.

Xavis huffed and carefully managed to pluck a feather from Elmer's little bird. He tried to get the big bird to let go of the peacock before dragging him out. They got the feather. Now he had to keep Elmer from stealing the peacock from the garden where it belonged and that was a challenge in itself.
