Your sustenance, son must be sustainable, or else your lack of it will be the end of you.  You were born-were.  Use that balance to hunt only when you need.  Kill mercifully what you hunt.  Consume to your bodily requirement.  Waste none of what the world has made you work for.  While the Beast hunts for food, often inefficiently as a predator, the Man hunts for food, sport, trade, clout, and other nonsensical whims.  But you, son, you have the Harmony.  It should come naturally to a born-were, your special privilege.  Give back to the Urth what you can even as you take only what you absolutely need.  Then, be gracious and thankful to the Urth for sustaining you.  No Totem will tell you this and have you believe it.  No god will demand it in its ideology.  This is a learned thing, son.  It is survival.
