Konshu Elves
Konshu Elves are a type of elf with insect aspects, ranging from ants to butterflies, and a gemstone or pearl somewhere on their body. Konshu Elves can make those susceptible to illusions see them as any humanoid species through the use of the illusionary smoke that comes from their gemstone. Konshu Elves also have plants which grow from the tips of their ears, most commonly being flowers.

An Event called 'The Great Unknowing' caused Konshu Elf society to disappear entirely from the plane of reality, instead inhabiting a location called 'Story's End'. This is when Konshu Elves as a whole gained the knowledge they were fictional creatures, and used this knowledge to interact with other fictional worlds. Many Konshu invest themselves into participating as a character in a fictional world for fun, similar to LARPing, but make sure not to break character for the sake of others' sanities.

Higana
Higana is a Konshu Elf who is taking a break from a previous job of bringing characters from scrapped stories to his home of Story's End. Experiencing such hardship through these discarded souls can be stressful, especially since for many, it is the equivalent of Higana being a grim reaper. Handling the dead can certainly be stressful, causing Higana to desire a break from it all, and deciding this story of portals and quests shall do. He's very secretive about his past for obvious reasons, mostly only revealing that he's done some theraputic work in the past, and that he's seen a lot of loss in his life. He also claims to be a Botanist and a Lepidoptrist. Outside of that, he's an experimental and kind individual who loves discovering new things and meeting new people. He doesn't seem to have a fearful bone in his body either, making exploration that much more exciting for him. 

Yamada Taro
Yamada Taro is Higana's false persona when working with those he believes would scare at his normal appearance. The name itself is the japanese equivalent of 'John Doe' in english. When presenting this personal, his ears are more human, and the gem on his chest looks more like an accessory. Additionally, in this form his extra set of eyes, gem smoke, and butterfly wings are hidden. No personality changes, but he also claims to be 28 when presenting this persona.
