Nemesis show down Chapter6: Chapter 1

The evening was darkening from the sun lowering over the distant mountains and cities walls. Smoke bellowed from parts of the city as the citizens fought together to contain the flames from taking over. The city was a bit in chaos with parts of the walls broken down, the once polished stone stained and dingy from the fights. People cautiously moving around tending the wounded and taking away the fallen. Sol has not seen this bad of a battle in many years and it looked like a warzone. 

Nemesis came landing down in the heart of the city where her rider was. She was massive, much bigger then most of the stryx that were fighting and scurrying around. She stuck out more than she could hide. Her large jagged beak would move her nose close to the opening of a hovel. She let out a low grumble as she waited patiently. Riley came out of the hovel wearing leather armor and with a brown cloth hood over her head as she headed out. “Nemesis, Wraith is coming back. Geiger and the others were able to push him back a bit earlier.” she stated to her friend. She would move around the corner being careful. Though Nemesis didn’t make them stealthy one bit as moving through the town was a tight squeeze in some alleys and rows.  Nemesis lifted her head up and looked off in the distance. Wraith was heading  over towards Sol again. They got him outside the city finally. Nemesis squinted and wanted to tear into the beast. She looked down at Riley. Riley would move to the end of the long street and peer out.Her fingers ran over the dull dusty walls as she remembered how clean and nice this place was. She gave a little frown and shook her head. These people didn’t deserve this. They needed to do something to help. She looked up at Nemesis and motioned her to come down. Nemesis looked away from the Wraith that was coming which made her antsy to go. She wanted to fight the monstrous beast. She rather enjoyed a very good fight. As she craned her head down to lower Riley to come crawling on. She would slowly raise her head. Riley standing on Nemesis’s head would peer out. She could see a dark cloud almost arrive with Wraith like a dark mist of sorts. Riley witnessed a smaller stryx try and attack Wraith. Wraith would nick the wing and Riley watched it fall from the sky. “Nemesis, I think you know what to do.” she would state rather bluntly.  Riley patted Nemesis’s head, as she did that Nemesis bent her head down to place her onto the ground. Nemesis’s beak clicked in a pattern, one Riley understood as excitement and happiness.
    Nemesis opened her large wings which were almost as dark as the scenery. The deep purples and black tips fading into her body masked perfectly to the now night sky. As her wings flapped and she took off letting out a large roar like shriek . This was loud, hoping that the noise would get Wraith’s attention away from the smaller stryx. As Wraith looked he got a face full of claws to the face. Growling rather loud and swinging his head as Nemesis got his face.He roared out bring his front claws forward to grab Nemesis’s back leg. Her long talons grasped harder on the creature. Her maw came down to bite at Wraith’s neck. Though she seemed like she was riding a mechanical bull on the thrashing she had to endure. Her large wings flapped and waved in the air as she balanced and tried to prevent from being pulled down. Though soon feeling a wall into her back and into buildings she would release. Wraith shrieked out at her face, blood bits flying from his maw at her. The dark and red breath  he spewed from himself hit Nemesis. Nemesis was lying on her back but pushing to get up was trying to face him. Never turn away from the enemy. Her jaws lit up brightly with blue lighting. As he let out the breath she did hers.Catching both in a red and blue spark and it dissipated. Though through the bright display. Nemesis was able to move away. Nemesis was about to fly but Wraith was a bit faster at leaping onto her much like an oversized raptor. His talons went into her lower back and he bit down on her shoulder. Nemesis let out a sharp pained roar but she took it like a champ. She knew that she couldn’t let him damage her wing anymore then it would be. She threw her head back and bucked Wraith around. Her horn hit him as she repeatedly threw her head back and bounced around. Slamming her back into the already broken walls and buildings. As she felt hot pain from his corrupted breath she would try and twist around. As she snapped at him she would hear a whistle and a heavy twang sound from the distance. Then the hot searing pain in her shoulder from Wraith would dissipate as he fell from her back. She hissed as she felt the lack of feathers on her shoulder and the bite wound. She saw Wraith with what looked like a large spear into his shoulder. Riley gestured some profanity towards Wraith. “That's for the city..” she was interrupted as Wraith exhaled a breath at the building. Riley would book it out of their pretty fast. Though it was hard to tell.

    Nemesis took the moment to fly up and soar into the sky thinking about how she's going to finish this beast. She watched the dark cloud hit the building and she worried Riley was going to be gone. This made her anxiety and anger rize even more, not being able to see if Riley is ok. Nemesis listened to Riley as she was the one that raised her. She respected her and 90% of the time will listen to her. Though Nemesis’s temper tends to override some of that. As Wraith was moving around the now devastated Sol’s front gate area looking around. He would look as Nemesis dived down towards him. When Nemesis got closer she tilted her head down so he would get a face or body full of horns. She gave him a powerful hit. The loud whack of the bodies colliding could be heard across Sol.As Wraith tried to prepare to take the flying massive gryph. He got winded.His legs pressed into the ground as dirt and brick floor ripped and left gashes into the ground.  Wraith fell back for a moment as he was getting his breath back and not sure if ribs were worse for wear or not. THough as Nemesis kept pressing her horned head into his side or stomach. She bit his back leg, the uneven and messed up beak hurt worse than a regular one. Wraith grabbed at Nemesis’s back and tried to pull her towards him. To do damage and bite. Nemesis would pull back though Wraith on her head she would start to  flap. The massive Wraith would start to get pulled up with her. Her wings thrusting down beating the air as she was actually lifting him from the ground.The push up gave a bit of a distance from the ground. The dust and dirt falling from their bodies  onto the earth.  Nemesis flew forward fast and headed towards the ground. As she did so. Wraith hit the ground and part of the wall. He got caught by the ground and sent him tumbling back as with Nemesis attached to his stomach and his nails attached to her neck. Her legs kicking and her flailing a bit to get bearings straight. With a large loud roar a big flash of light happened. Nemesis used her electric breath ability to send a large shock wave through Wraith. 

    Riley was in the distance on top of a building watching. She was working on a harpoon to help out Nemesis. Nemesis never liked help during fights but she felt Wraith being the biggest thing she fought thus far she was going to need it.  She didn’t know when the fight would end. Nemesis doesn’t back down from a challenge and will keep fighting till she is knocked out or worse.  Riley’s brow furrowed and she got the harpoon on the mechanical machine. As both birds were getting up to get their bearings straight Riley aimed.. And… FIRED!
