Chapter04: Worked Too Well.

Wepicked up were we left off with Kibosh actually being surprised byseeing Natellie. Old feelings started to stirrup as he begins to haveflashbacks of the two of them sharing those happy moments, laughing,playing, and cute romantic moments. But he repressed those memoriesand turned to the Trio. "So she's the family member you threewere talking about?"

"Yougot it, Kibosh." Stinky thought he was praising but it earnedhim a hard glare from Kibosh and shirk back.

"Isee, and does she have anything to do with Casper?" Kibosh had astrong feeling about this.

"Inmore ways than one." Stretch tried to be as discreetly as hecould.

"Plusshe is..." Fatso almost blew the reason why they are here if itwasn't for Stretch and Stinky quickly covering his mouth.

"Notyet, Big Mouth." Stretch scolded in a harsh whisper.

Fatsomumbled sorry. "Perhaps it would be a good idea to let you twocatch up old times." Stinky suggested as he and Stretch tookFatso out of Kibosh's office with their hands still over his mouth.

OnceKibosh and Natellie are left alone, there was a moment of silencebetween them until Kibosh decided to break the ice. "It's been awhile, hasn't it, Natellie?"

"Twelveyears, give or take." Natellie tried her best not to sound soemotional, but seeing Kibosh again makes it hard for her to do so.

"Iassume that this no casual visit, isn't it." Kibosh figured itout since the Trio mentioned that there was a connection between herbeing here and Casper.

"Stillastute as usual. Very well, I'm here for Casper." Natellie gotright to the point.

"Isee and how do you know about Casper and what does he mean to you?"Kibosh, had a pretty good idea, he just wanted to hear it fromNatellie.

Natelliehad no choice but to tell Kibosh the truth, or at least part of thetruth. "Casper is my son."

Kiboshkept the expression on his face from Natellie when she told him that."Is that so. And what would his father say if he knew you arehere?"

"OhI have pretty good idea." Natellie can detect that Kibosh was upto something but she must remain focus.

"Sowhat does Casper have to do with you being here?" Kibosh wasactually concern but he doesn't let Natellie know about it.

"I'mafraid he's in great danger. I sense a great evil will come uponhim."

"Stillgetting visions, I bet. So you think that this evil will try to harmCasper?"

"No,it's worst than that. I fear that Casper will be turn evil."

Kiboshjust laughed. "Oh please Natellie, Casper, evil? We've beenhaving a hard time trying to get him to be scary."

Natelliedidn't like how Kibosh was handling the situation. "Yes, mybrothers told me about how you made them enrolled Casper into ScareSchool."

"Theyhad no other choice. Casper's friendliness is a threat to theUnderworld." Kibosh tried to get Natellie to see things his way.

"Arestill on to that whole balance business?" Natellie couldn'tbelieve that Kibosh kept holding on to that.

"Asking of the Underworld, it is my duty to preserve it." Kiboshreminded Natellie.

"Andas King of the Underworld, it is also your duty to protect yourpeople!" Natellie pointed out for him. She did have a point butKibosh couldn't let her know that. "That's why I must do what Ican to preserve the balance."

"Thenyou must help us find Casper before it's too late." Natellietried to convince Kibosh.

"I'msorry but I believe this is more of a family problem. It's out of myhands." Kibosh decline in a respectable manner.

"Soyou won't help us just because that? If you knew that Casper is..."Natellie almost gave away her secret.

"Iswhat?" Kibosh wanted her hear what Natellie was going to say.

"Isvery important to me." Natellie made a nice recovery.

Kiboshturned his back on her. "We almost became a family, once."Natellie said in a sorrowful tone.

"Wellthat was then and this is now. If you excuse, I have some otherbusiness to attend to." Kibosh tried not to give in.

"Isee, guess I was just a waste of your time." Natellie got upsetand was about to leave, that is until Kibosh told her something."Natellie." She was hoping that he changed his mind. "Hehas your eyes." It wasn't exactly what she wanted but it wasnice of him to say something like that. "Yes well, hisfriendliness came from his father." She gave him a small clue.

"Isthat so, well that would explain a lot of things. It was good to seeyou again, Natellie."

"Likewise, Kibosh." Natellie simply left room.

Kiboshreturned to his desk and went back to work. "Still has that samewild spirit. It's no wonder that I am..." He stopped himselffrom ever saying that last part. "It's too late now. What's pastis past."

Inthe waiting room, the Trio were in anticipation for their sister tofinish talking to Kibosh. "Boy I hope she's doing okay."Fatso nervously ate some snack cakes and refreshments left out forthem. Oh well, at least he gotten something to eat.

"Wellyou relax, our sister is a trooper, she can handle him." Stretchreassured his rotund brother.

Stinky,however, is being skeptical. "I don't know, I mean it has been12 years since they, well, you know."

"Nowis not the time to think about that now. Remember, we need all thehelp we can get if we are ever going to save Casper." Stretchtried to remind his brothers stay with the plan. Finally, Natellieenters the room and her brothers came up to her. "Well how didit go? Is everything okay with you two? Did he agree to help us?"Each of the Trio asked those questions. But the look on Natellie'sface tells them other wise. "No, I'm afraid he cannot help us."

"Oh."Herbrothers gotten disappointed when she told them that. "We'resorry Sis." Stretched apologized first. "You did yourbest." Stinky praised her. "We thought he was our bestbet." Fatso added in.

"It'sokay, Boys. I thought he could help us. Apparently I was wrong. He isstill as stubborn as always. No matter. If he can't help us thenwe'll save Casper ourselves." Natellie is determined to keepgoing with this.

"Buthow, there's no one at Scare School and Kibosh is no help."Stretch knows they have no options left.

"Maybethey might have returned from whatever they went. Come, we have nottime to loose." Natellie flew out of the room with Stretch andStinky following behind. Fatso tried to sneak in one more cake leftbut was interrupted by a loud "Fatso!" So he put the cakedown and joined up with his siblings.

Speakingof Scare School, we now see Casper being punished for failing hisassignment. "...and for not being able to do the assignment, werevoke your visitation privileges for Mr. Cutepants for a month."Dash declared. "And starting next week, you got kitchen dutywith the Cafeteria thing for two months." Alder added.

"Yes,Sirs. I understand." Casper had head low. He feels bad forfailing to scare those fleshies at that retirement home. Of course hedidn't like scaring fleshies anyway, but still it was his assignmentand he didn't do it properly.

"Verywell, you may go now." said Dash as he and Alder let Casperleave the office, but not before Dash just one more thing to say. "Ohand Casper, we would like that water bottle back, if you please,since it's obvious you don't deserve such a thing."

Caspersadly but willingly gave the water bottle back to the headmasters."Now you may go." said Alder as Casper floated out of theroom in a depress manner. Once Casper left the office, Dash began torant. "I can't believe, all that work and still nothing. Wemight as well dump this stuff into the sink."

"Canwe do that later, it's time for Scare Central." Alder didn'tfeel like doing anything that involves moving right now.

"Ohvery well, but after that then we'll get rid of the evidence. I wouldhate to think what Kibosh will do if ever found out." Dashturned on the TV and Scar Central came on.

"Hithere folks and welcome to Scare Central, the show that puts the Booin Booya!" Greeted creature newscaster 1.

"Andtonight we got a very special treat for you from all away in DeedsTown." Said creature newscaster 2 with much enthusiasm.

"Ohwow, were just in Deeds Town.!" Alder was excited when he heardthat.

"They'remust be doing the Boo Hoos first so that everyone will see ourhumiliation." Dash was feeling the opposite.

"Ourspecialists informed us that a world record of scare recentlyhappened at the Good Deeds Retirement Home where a number of fleshiesresidents and staff workers stampede out of the building and a pureterrifying panic!" Creature Newscaster 1 indicated the locationof that event.

"Say,wasn't Casper at that Good Deeds place a while ago." Alder triedto make the connection.

"Yes,but we both saw it and nothing happened to Casper." Dash wantedto forget that time.

"Thisscare set off the scale for over 11.9 and it usually ends 10."Said Creature Newscaster 2.

"Didyou hear that? An 11.9! So Casper actually did good, or bad, orwhatever! He broke the Scare record." Alder was actually happyfor Casper.

"Ohwill you be serious, if Casper's scare was so great, then why hedidn't change when he drank the potion?" Dash doesn't want tohear anymore of Alder's nonsense.

"However,as impressive as this scare is, I'm afraid it's also illegal."CN1switched moods.

"What!?"Alder and Dash were shock by hearing that part.

"Yes,it seems the one who was responsible, scared about 20 elderlyfleshies to death, since a lot them have weak heart conditions."CN2 wasn't happy about it either.

"Butthat can't be right, can it?" Alder and Dash continue to watchthis report.

"Wewill now show you a still photo of the perpetrator." CN1 and CN2brought out the photo and showed the one who scared those poor oldfleshies. This scary looking creature had a purplish pink skin tone,deadly yellow eyes, and razor sharp teeth to match. The colors weredifferent but the face looks almost the same and Alder and Dash sortof recognized it. "Man, I would hate to meet this guy in a darkalley." CN2 tried to relieve tension. "Or a lighted alleyfor that matter." CN1added.

Alderand Dash were still stunned when they saw that picture but stillcouldn't believe it. "It can't be, can it?" Alder was tooafraid to know the answer.

"Itlooks like but it couldn't be." Dash was afraid too.

"Casper?!"They said it together when they realized who it was.

"Soif you see the criminal, please contact your local creatureauthorities immediately." CN2 advised.

"It'sup to all of us to put monsters like these away for a long time."CN1 was being serious about this.

"Remember,we might be creatures but we are not killers and guys like that willmostly likely to upset the balance."CN2 continued.

Alderand Dash looked at the photo then the water bottle then photo againuntil they made a connection. "The potion worked." That wasonly answer Alder could come up with.

"Yes,but a little too well." Dash actually agreed but now saw whatthey have done.

A/N:Looks like Alder and Dash have done it this time. What will happen ifeveryone finds out? Will Kibosh changed his mind and help Natellieand the Trio? Find out next time in Casper The Evil Ghost.
