Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Billy Frankenstein And His Magical Glue

The following is a story that I once was told
I can't say for sure if it's true
About young Billy Frankenstein, just ten years old
Who once owned some magical glue

He'd stick together any knickknacks purloined
To other bits and pieces he'd found
And the magical glue caused whatever he'd joined
To get up and start walking around

He once made a man out of sticks and roast beef
And no sooner had the little man stood
When the dog scooped the effigy up in its teeth
And all that was left was the wood

So then Billy thought he'd make a straw donkey
It was a fine one, he used a whole bale
But one leg was too short so its trot was all wonky
And it got hungry and ate its own tail

So Bill glued together a cat made of string
He was determined it would be the best
But the dog chased it into a tree, poor thing
And a bird used it to build a new nest

Ticked off, Billy poured the glue into the trash
He just couldn't get anything right!
And now if it's dark and you hear a loud crash
It's the trash monster prowling the night.
