A Mario and Luigi Brothers Short Story: A message and Delivery

     Blue was running as fast as he could to reach the castle of the Mushroom Kingdom's Princess Toadstool, he just had to get help for Mario and Luigi. Finally, e arrived at a warp pipe, jumped in hurridly, then entered the other side, and arrived at the Mushroom Castle. Right away he ran inside the Castle doors and began frantically yelling that he must speak with Princess Toadstool.

     "I need to speak with Princess Toadstool! Princess Toadstool, please someone!"

Toad came from the great hall to see who in the world would be yelling for the Princess in such a rude manor.

"Who's there yelling about like this? Oh Who might you be?" asked Toad, aghast when he saw the size of the person yelling.

My name's Blue, but I really need to speak to the Princess!"

'Calm down calm down. Why do you need to speak to the Princess so badly?" asked Toad curiously.

"Because Mario and his brother Luigi are in trouble."

Toad laughed inside himself at this remark and was skeptical, for no one, or anyTHING could possibly bring harm to the Mario brothers.

"How could they be in trouble, they always thwart any plans of Bowser's" said Toad.

"Listen listen! Mario and Luigi were having a contest and and Mario disappeared, and then Luigi and I followed a trail to a castle on a Volcano and Luigi fell into a hole in a tree stump." Blue was out of breath after saying all of that.

 Toad's eyes began to widen after hearing this news, and immediately ran from the room and out of site. Blue guessed he went to get the Princess after seeing the look of fear upon his face.

Toad arrived in the Princess's chambers where the Princess was sitting on her bed sewing a garment. The Princess looked up as she heard Toad enter.

"Princess Toadstool" said Toad, "There is someone named Blue here who wishes to speak to you, and it is about the Mario brothers, VERY important" He said Hastily, then telling her the full story.

The Princess sat there for a few seconds after what she thought was Toad telling her the Mario brothers were in trouble and that someone was here bringing this message.

'Please Toad, take me to this person." said the Princess while standing up and straightening her pink dress.

Toad willingly guided the Princess to where the visitor was waiting in the doorway of the castle. Before Toad could even announce the Princess's presence, Blue ran right up to her in hysterics.

"Princess Princess, Mario and Luigi are in trouble!" Blue was jumping up and down in front of the Princess.

'I know" said the Princess, 'Toad has told me, now, how is it you know what happened to the Mario Brothers?" asked the Princess.

"Because I was with them after Luigi called for me in the forest so they could conduct their contest."

"How did it go from a contest, to Mario getting capt..."

Before the Princess could finish her sentence, she spied a ball of flame coming out of the warp pipe ahead of where they were standing.

"Allow me to handle this" said Toad, while puffing up to make his short self seem bigger. Toad walked to the ball of flame, and stopped in front of it, both of them eyeing each other, with the Princess and Blue looking on from a distance.

'I have a message from my master, to your Princess" said the flame.

"Well, lets have it then" said Toad.

The flame took out the rolled up parchment from behind him and handed it to Toad, it was rather bulky. After the flame handed it to Toad, it went towards the warp pipe and turned back around. "You best take heed of what that parchment says haha." Then he went down the pipe.

As Toad unraveled the curiously bulging parchment, the firs thing he saw, was a red hat with the letter 'M" on the font. Toad knew full well whose hat it was, Mario's.

The princess came running up as she saw the red hat unfurled from inside the scroll.

'Oh my Toad, it's Mario's hat, please read what the scroll says"

"Yes yes, read it read it" said Blue while jumping up and down beside the Princess.

Upon reading the scroll Toad, Princess, and Blue all knew that Mario was truly in danger, as well as the entire Mushroom Kingdom if the Princess did not submit the throne to King Brimstone, a new threat to the Mushroom Kingdom's safety.

'Who can we turn to for help?" asked Toad sadly

"Luigi can help Luigi can help" Blue began yelling immediately.

The princess looked at Blue and a gave a worried look. 'Yes, but Luigi can't save his brother alone as he thinks, if King Brimstone so easily captured Mario. Luigi shall need help."

The princess walked back inside the castle with Blue following her, leaving Toad outside, alone in disbelief. As they walked in, the Princess turned right, down a long hallway, thens stopped in the middle and turned around to look at Blue.

"Blue, please don't show or tell anyone else where I am about to take you"

I swear I won't princess" aid Blue loyally, with truth in his heart.

With that said, the princess walked toward a torch and pulled down on the thick part of it. Blue jumped as he heard the wall behind him moving in.

'Woah! The walls moving!" Blue exclaimed.
