Ongoing Weekly Challenge
The Paperverse is filled with things to do, places to explore, and stories to build. Through the Character Development Challenges, you can hone in on specific elements of your character’s story to explore the worlds and narratives you want to create! These challenges offer a little more than non-challenge art without the difficulty level of Portal Challenges so that you can keep earning items, XP, and AP on your own time.
A new prompt is posted every Monday. You have two weeks to complete each prompt.

Art Entry Requirements
- A minimum of a half-body colored OR half-body multi-tone greyscale sketch of your character that fulfills your chosen prompt. Shading is optional.
- Click on the prompt event at the bottom of this page.
- Click Upload new submission at the bottom of the event. After your work is uploaded, submit it to the queue at the bottom of the prompt page.
Writing Entry Requirements
- 500 words with your character playing a major role that fulfills your chosen prompt.

Collaboration Requirements
Optionally, you can do this challenge as a collaboration. Learn more about how rewards work for collabs.
- A character owned by each person must be included in the piece.
- The base requirements are doubled (a minimum of TWO half-body characters or 1000 words)
- The prompt must be fulfilled for BOTH characters in order for both of them to receive awards.
- Both of the characters’ owners must be involved in the creation of the piece.
Additional info
You may only complete any given prompt ONCE per character.
You may participate in as many or as few prompts as you would like, but you may only participate in each prompt once per character.
Prompts that call for a second character can be any character-- they do not have to be registered or even humanoid. You are also welcome to collaborate with other players on both multi character and single character prompts.
