Hello everyone and welcome to the first season in Nomcromancy. Seasons & Bonds are something I started in Mera my other Art RPG but it has some major changes to it so I'll break it down again. For those who already know here is a pic with the important info.

Bonds are a seasonal mega event that lasts at least 90 days and follows a theme. These are major content drops where new items, traits, species, and more are launched and tested before they're added into the core game. The way they work is you'll get the Free Bond in the store for 1 Mote or the Paid Bond from my Kofi, then you'll draw art for events/prompts and get Glimmer in return. Glimmer is used to craft the items in the crafting tab and that's it. You can participate in the season without knowing anything else, but if you keep reading there are some questions you might have that I answer.
Unity
Far off to the west lies a large dome of purple mist, slowly ever expanding and from that direction is the origin of the many creatures that torment Noms. Hungers, Gluttons, Wildlife, and more. This region has remained unexplored for a long while, the Kingnoms are newly established and despite their rapid growth are more focused on keeping the Kingnoms functional than exploring new monstrous territories. But recently, the purple mist called the veil has begun to dissipate and a new creature has appeared who wishes to be friends. They’re called Mera and while they don’t know the source of the beasties they have a unique beast of their own that torments them called the Reapirth. We’ve decided to make friends and let the Mera move in as well as settle their own territory within ours.
Theme for this season:
This season is themed around making friends and promoting unity between Mera and Noms. Mera are an Art RPG species by Sera (maker of Nomcromancy) and we’re including them in Nomcromancy in order to expand options for players and to simplify Mera’s infrastructure through using Paperdemon’s infrastructure. Players of Nomcromancy will be able to make Mera and Mera players will be joining Nomcromancy and can make Noms.
What is a Mera?
Mera are a creature that comes from the purple mist known as “The Veil”. The Veil is a bubble that exists between the world of the living and dead and Mera are creatures that purify lost souls. They do this by having spirits possess and live in their tails, the spirits feed on positive energy and in return they make Mera stronger by giving them traits related to the species of the spirit. A Mera is made of two parts, the main body which is referred to as the Host and the possessed tails called Possessors. The two live in symbiosis in order to help defeat Reapirth and keep them both from being eaten by them. Similar to how Noms fight with Nomcromancers to stop Gluttons.
How do I Make A Mera?
Since you already have a character you’ll have to get a New Mera Ticket, you can craft them but you only get one max for now. Mera design follows the same rules as Nomlings but make sure to check the guide “How To Make A Mera” for info on what they look like and the specific rules they have.
Isn't this just a Battle Pass?
I think Battle Passes are more about denying you items in order to squeeze money out of you. Where as paid bonds are more like a shortcut. Besides, no battle pass on the market offers crafting.
What if I don't want anything on the Bond?
Glimmer can be sold for Motes & Cheddar.
What happens to my Glimmer when the Season is done?
Each season has it's own named Glimmer. This season it's called Unity Glimmer. Once the season is over you can sell the left over glimmer for Motes/Cheddar.
What's the difference between Paid and Free?
The entire season can be enjoyed for free but with the paid bond you get a crafting discount being able to craft twice as much as you normally could. You can use that opportunity to stock up on things like character tickets, Nomaline, Merubies, B.O.O.K.s. Trait Removers, and trait tickets. Paid also gets a neat little badge that other players can see letting everyone know they help keep Nomcromancy running.
What is the money from Paid Bonds being used for?
Nomcromancy is free for players, but it's not free for me. I have a monthly hosting fee of $50. If you want to help make sure Nomcromancy stays running then Paid Bonds is the best way to do it.
How many have to be bought to keep Nomcromancy going?
If purchased through Ko-fi I receive 8.50 so 18 people would need to buy one each season. Once in site purchases are available, Stripe gets 3% plus 30 cents, and Paper Demon gets 15%, so I'd get $7.90 and it would take 19 people. I can pay the fee out of my own pocket but I want to be transparent.
Can I buy a Bond for someone else?
Yes, when you buy it on Ko-fi and post your receipt in the Discord mention who you want the bond to go to.
