You did an awesome job of this - I love the way he looks, and his expression. You've always got such a lovely and smooth style and colour composition, too.

    Thank you! Usually my color palettes are chosen by way of having 2-3 close colors in the piece. One day I hope to experiment with more opposite-spectrum palettes or just color ranges I don’t do often, like green or orange, but I’m also trying to do things like shading and background work more often which I see the latter as more important right now. But to hear that so far my color composition work is good is a really good self confidence booster- thank you so much!!

      Yeah it’s always good to focus on one area of desired improvement or change at a time to avoid overwhelming yourself. But I definitely feel your current colour palette is beautiful. Very easy on the eyes

        Blues and purples are a favorite of mine to work with just because depending on the intensity it can convey a ton of different things.

          Oh my goodness I agree! It’s really interesting to play with a monochrome palette of any colour to get the true variety and emotion out of that one hue. My personal favourite for that is green, for a similar reason.

          Man I haven’t done that kind of exercise in forever…
