I would have expected a more symbolic background... But it's looking good. Kinda like peeking through a keyhole. I love the poisonous colors and the snake!
the flowers at her feet (which, admittedly, you can see better before the frame) are called Fofos, and in South American cultures symbolise jealousy. The snake around her neck is an American symbol for jealousy, and the vines in the background represent the 'roping in' effect that envy takes on its victims. People who become obsessed with their jealousy get lured into a sort of hate whirlpool.
That's very insightful hun, I know you do alot of research for your pictures. I just imagined it different, I don't criticize your drawing style or anything.

Ah, yukatta.^_^ Sometimes I'm not sure if I'll offend anyone. I think I might have once. I'm really impressed though, I never have patience to do much research, I mostly draw on impulse.
Sometimes I draw on impulse too. I'm working on one of those right now, too, actually. But often I really get into my projects, which inspires me to know more and more about a subject. In the end it means I know a lot of trivia about little tiny things (though I can't hold a candle to my boyfriend). I like that way of doing things sometimes, though. It tends to make the end result mean more to me, you know?
That also assures you won't get stuck with the picture later, like it often happens to me. Right now though I'm working on something that I've been planning to do for a while and I knew what I wanted. I did some research there. I'm going to post it now and see if I can get a proper roast since I want it to be prefect. So your boyfriend didn't learn anything from all that trivia?
Oh, he learns tons and tons - sometimes I think his head will explode with all the knowledge... But there isn't too much he can use it for other than shock value.
Right now I'm working on the "sexy" competition drawing for Arkillian, and then I'll be doing a commission, and then, either Gluttony or Pride, I can't decide which...
These are ALL colour sketches. It is finished, as a colour sketch. They won't be quite the same when they're painted, so these sketches are all pretty much originals.
