CHARACTER: Ellamin "Ailoton" Liadon
PROMPT: [#5] Family Matters. You’ve probably had your own problems with family flaking on you for whatever reason. Draw or write your character in a time where their family went back on their word… or when they went back on their word to a family member! No one’s perfect, after all. Boss Battle

"How is it ... That you cannot keep your promise ... Father, I had trusted your word! You cannot keep me in here forever ... Can you? Please ...  Make it not last ... A week again. Mother ..." Ailoton his parents had the tendency to forcefully educate their son to take their position in the council. Due to his disobedience, they often locked him up in his room and barricaded his windows to make their son desperate enough to cooperate. Often, it did work. This was the situation before he escaped and ran from home. Also before he created his persona "Ailoton".

    I feel so sorry for him seeing him locked up like this, knowing his background story. You managed to capture the emotions so well again and the grayscale only adds to it ;^;

      Yeah, he doesn't know what to do, even the window has bars, so that it also feels like a prison. Just a psychological, little game his parents played.

      Thanks for the compliment~

    Poor baby! I'm glad he ran away that sounds terrible. There's just something so ethereal about this style that you do. It works really well for these emotional pieces.

      I'm glad that it comes across that way, the effect, I mean. That is indeed the intention. Thanks for pointing it out~

      Yes, he didn't have a very good time with his family and tutor, though he's partially to blame, himself. He was not cooperative to a point of desperation on their side.
