Athena the Rock Greenling Mermaid

Athena was struggling with finding the mischievous traveler for over a year, so she decided to return home for a while. As she was visiting her family, her father assisted her with her Elemental magic since she wanted to gain strength physically and mentally. Apparently, she wasn’t using her magic to its full potential. With the help of her father, Athena managed to transform herself into a mermaid and traveled to the City of Lost Songs.

Prompt #2- She 1st discovered the ship graveyard and was astounded by the multitude of wrecked ships on the dark sea floor. Debating on whether to swim down into the creepy depths to explore or to just stay on top of the treacherous cliffside. Then, she heard muffled yelling down by one of the ships, so she quickly swam down in order to be of service to the distressed calls.

Prompt #4- When she reached the ship, she met the pearl divers who were searching for a troupe of teenagers who got lost. Athena wanted to assist them; however, she didn’t have the means to defend herself since she couldn’t use her bow and arrows underwater. So they brought her to Amvia the leader of the pearl divers and she gave her a spear infused with Water Elemental magic in order to defend herself properly.

Prompt #3- As she was searching for the teenagers, she ventured the Depths where the pearl divers go hunting for treasure since these teenagers consist of mostly boys who love a taste of danger and excitement. While down there, she ran into a Epiale with glowing red eyes, a black sleek body, turquoise fins, and ton of spikes. At first, Athena was frightened by the huge leviathan of the deep until it started to communicate.

Who are you looking for traveler?

Athena was surprised to hear this booming voice in her mind. But, she was also confused by the clear question.

“I’m sorry- What do you mean?”

I can sense your urgency on the matter. Also, no diver ventures this deep for treasure.

“Oh!” Athena understood the Epiale’s question, but is still confused by the purpose behind it.

“Why do you want to help me?”

They looked at her with a disappointing smile.

Don’t judge me by my size, since we Epiales are gentle creatures that love to aid others. If you ask, then we will gladly assist.

In the end, the Epiale guided Athena to the troupe of teenagers who were located in a cave since a few of them were injured. She didn’t get the full story, but was grateful for Muqix the Epiale for giving them a ride on his back towards the surface. To conclude this adventure, everyone travelled home safely and Amvia rewarded Athena for her hard work. Athena felt like she gained more experience from this adventure and felt refreshed from her previous travels. However, she was about to gain the weirdest encounter of her life before she returned to her original form.
