Mother's Gift

At the age of 16 before Atañah had planned to leave, her mother had passed down a shawl given to by her own mother. It was a tradition that at the age of 16 the shawl would be passed down to the first child. She now carries this shawl with her everywhere, more often you'll find her shawl in her waist.
