Feather of Childhood

One of Ime's most sentimental items is a feather his brother left behind. 

If the two siblings aren't side by side, you wouldn't suspect they're related.

Ime stands tall, has light hair and eyes and does everything for others. His ever present smile is gentle, his movements even softer. The long ears on the side of his head twitch and droop with emotion, his glasses sometimes sliding with large movement. 

Dayo? His hair and eyes are dark, and always look like he just saw the most exciting thing - or he craves to find it. Freckles sit alongside scars on his face and arms. He does everything for himself, and it shows in his stance. And the red feathers along his cheek look just as striking as the wings sprouting from his back.

Their differences has always been something the elf loves.

It wasn't uncommon for a few feathers to fall out from rough play or emotional outbursts. Ime hated to let them float away, and instead used them for anything he could think of. Most often they were bookmarks, or just sitting on a desk for comfort. The most well preserved he keeps in a small frame, hanging above his bed. When he has to go far from his home village, he ties one that has a small hole in it to the strings on his small shawl. It helps him feel safe, and keep a piece of family close to heart.
