Alone

I'm very much a faerie and faerie-world person. This little creature didn't give me a name, but for some reason while I was drawing it, the title 'Alone' wanted to be used. It's odd, the juxtaposition of bright colors with the emotion I never thought it would have conveyed.

I love this piece alot!!! The colors used r very dreamy n delicate. So beautiful n gentle. N the title suits it, since there's no one inside except her. N I love her pose too. Btw, I love pics where we can't see the char's face. lol. Leaves alot of room fo imagination. I'm so eaten up with curiosity to see how she'll look like. XD

I can see lonliness. But I can also see expectation, as if she's waiting for something. It's amazing the kind of emotions a picture can convey, even if nothing's really happening. Smile I find pictures like these really nice. Nothing's happening on the surface, but deep below a lot of things are going on, and it's all a matter of what the person who's looking at it can dig up.

Laughing Whoo, had a moment there. I really do like this picture, though.

That's the way I feel about this picture. Even if it seems rather inert, I did spend a lot of time on it, and for me it holds a lot of anticipation. I'm not sure of what, but that's definitely one of the emotions I was feeling when I worked the details.

Well, that's good. Yes It's definitely giving off that emotion to me.

If I may give some constuctive crit on this (Ignore it if you wish), although the colours are very beautiful, the picture has no draw power in it. What I mean by this is we can't relate to the picture in any way. The fairy doesn't look at us, she's not showing a feeling, her pose is closed of,and even though the picture feels magical, its still not obvious what is going on. Alot of time, posey pics are ok, but only if they're looking somewhere. It's something to look out for.

This would be a beutiful picture if the arms hugged around her slightly, and the fairy looking up, or with her hair pinned back with a apathetic expression. I'd like to see atleast one leg stretched out cause she looks uncomfortable. You're gonna say that it's only a doodle probably, and that's fine. These are my thoughts

Nope, you're right. Wink It's not a doodle, it's a finished piece, and even though it would be lovely with all those things, as I said, she wanted the title to be 'Alone.' I don't think she wanted to be drawn at all.

I have a weird relationship with the things I draw, if they want it a certain way, it becomes that way, regardless of what I think.

But thank you for the criticism, if I re-do this picture at any time I will take it into consideration.

As I said, taking my crit is up to you. The comment about doodles is that I've commented before on a non roast pic and I got yelled at cause it was a doodle XD A FINAL pic lookiing doodle ^^; Lol. It's up to you anyways- there's ways of drawing alone with making the viewer feel sorry for her or seeing isolation. That's all ^^
