So, this is Gabriel and Sparrow, two of my characters from a story my friend and I roleplay. Sparrow was killed shortly after the two were married, and even though he isn't supposed to dream (it's a flaw of his race), this is one of his dreams.
The atmosphere of this peice is rather amazing, it has alot of emotion to it, almost like a final goodbye of someone that person loved. I like how she is fading away yet he is still there.
Wow.. Amazing colors. The purple suits the mood perfectly and the poses are breath-taking.The angles of their faces are great.I love it.Amazing work indeed.Keep it up!^^
Well, Gabriel is part of a long, ongoing story I'm writing with a friend. ^^; And honestly, I came up with this through sketchwork.
After I saw the stock photo, I ran with it. All I really knew was I wanted to do something with Gabriel and Sparrow... and I sketch-blobbed the background (put a bunch of random colors and shapes here and there) until something just clicked and I ran with it. xD
Wow, holy freaking huge ears ^___^! -- but seriously, this picture rocks. I had a role playing character once named sparrow ('cept it was a male... and a half-elf with awesome red hair ^-^) I was gonna paint a picture of him, but my painting skills are teh suck. I have a half-finished piece of crap lying around somewhere *laugh*
This picture is really, really good -- and makes about as much sense as most of the dreams I've had. The landscape is... well, aside from wonderful, but kinda random and dismal, as is the thingy they're sitting on ^-^.
Oh, question, though -- is he a dark elf (or a drow or whatever they're called)? My brother is obsessed with them >.> he had a D&D group at one point and his character was always a dark elf.
Oh, and the clouds rock ^-^ I'm gonna stop now, this has dragged on long enough. Sorry about that -- awesome picture.
Haha, thank you so much! This is my own race, but yes, you could say that it's based off a dark elf / drow sort of thing. ^^ Drow usually have white hair, though. I have pictures of those, too, somewhere... Now I have to dig them up. xD
As I was browsing PD, this was a piece that stopped me in my tracks. You've captured the moment so expertly. The way she seems translucent, like a ghost, fits in perfectly with the mood of the story in the description.
Man this is sweet! It's a really off-beat reference, but did you ever play Riven (the sequel to Myst)? In that game there's these dagger things in the ground and this made me think of that game. Really great atmosphere, but what are those cube things?
Hah, no I never played that. They were going to be buildings if I'd allowed myself to work on them longer. ^^; But I have to finish my homework now, so I have to pretend this is done. x_x

It's also very beautiful how they are so high above the ground. For someone who can't dream he sure has a beautiful dream.

The clouds are gorgeous.
The girl seems like a ghost that's dissapearing. I also liked both character's expressions
