It's time for one of those not so fun news posts where I talk about changes to our mature content rules. After receiving some feedback, it's come to our attention that some of our rules have been misinterpreted by new members of the community so we decided to clarify a few things. The mature content rules have now been updated with the following updates.

The rules previously stated that
"Juvenile, adolescent, child-like, or cute looking humans/animals/anthros/monsters/characters/etc in sexual situations, whether implied or explicit [are not permitted]".
This has unfortunately been interpreted as a ban on sexual anime content. This is not what we intended. So we have removed the word "cute" from this list and added additional examples of what is and isn't allowed. You can see the new wording here and we welcome your feedback and suggestions.
The rules previously stated that zoophilia is not permitted but that sentient ferals/quadrapedals in sexual situations was allowed. We have revised our rules to ban all ferals/quadrapedals in sexual situations as it has become too difficult to moderate and we have some concerns about community safety in continueing to allow this type of content. This change only impacts about 5 arts that are currently hosted with us. We're going to remove the content soon and notify the artists. We make no judgements on those who create or view this type of content.
Additional wording in the document has been updated for clarity without impacting the meaning.
As a reminder, if you are browsing the adult section, we recommend you take a moment to configure your filters so that you can customize your experience to hide any content we do allow that makes you personally uncomfortable.

We made a few more revisions to the rules based on your feedback.
- We've clarified what consititutes mature gore.
- We've disallowed necrophilia. While we never actually allowed it in the past, it didn't end up making it into our rules up until this point. There is no content on our site currently that we know of that fits into this category.
Another reminder that maintaining a safe and inclusive community is very important to us. Determining where to draw the line between safety and freedom of expression can be incredibly difficult at times. But we are trying our best. We are always open to hearing your feedback!
