That's right! Pretty soon you'll be able to buy official Paper Demon merchandise including mouse pads, t-shirts, and sketch-journals!

The store hasn't opened yet. I still need to prepare products for it. I want to have a big launch with everyone elses products in there too! So listen up for details on joining in on the PaperDemon Store extraviganza. :bounce:

Wall Calendars
It's close to Christmas time and what gift could be better than a beautiful 2006 Wall Calendar with art by the members here at Paper Demon!

If you wish to have your artwork on a wall calendar and made available through the Paper Demon Cafe Press store, contact me about it with the artwork you are considering using. All submissions subject to review. Original Art Only! No Fanarts! You'll need to have your artwork digitized to the size of 11 x 8.5 at 200 dpi for full bleed. That's 2200 pixels by 1700 pixels so get your artwork prepared.

Base price for wall calendars is $3.99. I suppose a good selling price for these calendars would be $6 (so that's about a $2 mark up). I'll leave the price markup decision to the artist.

Because Calendars lose their usefulness as the year goes on, this will be a limited run. Most calendars will probably be removed from the store by the end of February to make room for fresher products.

I am thinking of a launch date somewhere around mid November when people start to do their christmas shopping.

SketchJournals
I predict this item to be the hottest item we sell yearround because we can advertise the Journal as a SketchJournal. It's a Journal with artwork on the front cover. There are no lines in it making it great for doodling or sketching during class. I'll definately buying a few of these!

Base price is $7.49. I'm guessing a good price to sell these at is $9 or $10.

Mousepads
Would you believe that I DO NOT have a mouse pad? I don't! So I'm going to need to buy one! I'm sure a lot of you out there have really nasty old dirty ones from 10 years ago that need replacing.

Other Merchandise
CafePress has plenty of different merchandise available. If you want to sell something other than a Journal, Wall Calendar, or Mouse Pad, feel free to let me know what you want to sell. At this time I haven't set a limit on the products each person can have. I think it will depend on the diversity of the artwork.

How much will you make?
My decision right now in profit spliting is 50% for the artist and 50% for PaperDemon.com fund. That means if we sell a wall calendar with your art on it for $7, you get $1.50 which is half of the $3 profit.

We'll  have to have some way of me getting your cut of the money to you. The easiest thing to do is a PayPal money transfer. So for now I'm going to say get a PayPal account if you don't already have one. I think PayPal charges money for transfers so I'm not going to make transfers often. Maybe once you've accrued $25 or $50 then I'd make you a payment.

Advertising
By the way, this merchandise WILL be advertised throughout PaperDemon.com and the Red Curtain and POSSIBLY on ZarbonOnline.com in the form of image banners. So the advantage to selling through Paper Demon is wider exposure. Of course, you are more than welcome to open up your own CafePress store and sell your artwork on your own as well.

Official Merchandise
There will of course be official Paper Demon and Red Curtain products available. I'll probably make a mouse pad and journal each for Red Curtain and Paper Demon. I don't have plans to make a calendar at this time. The artwork on these products will have NON-fanart versions of my Paper Demon art used in the site designs.
