Admin Applications

Running a group like this is never easy, and it requires teamwork to make things run smoothly!

If you are curious on what an admin is responsible for you have come to the right place. This will explain that teams are responsible for what area of the group.

We currently have three types of Admin Teams. We have a Development Team, Full-time Voluntary Moderators, and Temporary Moderators.

Development Team (Team Lead)

The Dev Team are consultants and work very closely with the Project Lead(s). They will help the Project Lead with timed events, building our systems on PD tools, Organizing the development of the game, Overseeing roller development, and help tossing out new and exciting ideas. They cannot make executive decisions without consulting the Project Lead. They will also help improve our current systems. They will also help with art assets, lore and world building. They will also help make excel sheet rollers that are not on the big roller. They will handle the day-to-day running of the group outside the scope of community content moderation.

They oversee the workflow of their assigned department. They are also responsible for distributing admin rewards to their team once per month. They will alert the Project Lead if there are activity level or behavioral issues in their team. They are also required to help out in their assigned department. They are responsible for keeping up with their department guides, training guides, and helping their mod team with answering questions about their department. Team Leads are also responsible for training any new hires. Team Leads also answer questions in the general discord chat. Team Leads are also chat moderators to make sure that everyone is following the chat rules. They are responsible for running volunteer queue work as well outside of helping the Team Lead(s) with development projects if the dev team queues are caught up. They cannot make executive decisions without consulting the Project Lead.

This is a contracted freelance position which means they can step down anytime whenever they see fit. They will be paid USD for the development work and not for running queue work.

The different departments are as follows: Breeding, Treasury, Uploaders, Loft & Hatchery.

Volunteer Moderators

Volunteer mods are assigned to one department. They run their assigned queues weekly to every 2 weeks to ensure that player submitted content is in line with group and community rules. If they have a question or are unsure about something in their department they will ask their Team Lead the questions in their proper channels. Mods also give feedback to their teammates when they ask for it in their department. Mods are also chat moderators to make sure that people follow the chat rules and alert everyone on the admin team if there is a question, behavioral issue by a player, and ect. They cannot make executive decisions. This is a volunteer position which means they can step down anytime whenever they see fit with no repercussions. Working in this team you will be compensated with Admin Credit (adcred).

The different departments are as follows: Redemption and Design.

Temporary Moderators

The temp or temporary admins are hired either seasonally for the end of the year events or when we feel like we need the extra help. This position is temporary for 3 months. It can turn into a full admin position if the individual meshes well with the team and works hard. These individuals will be trained in the department that needs the help. They cannot make executive decisions. This is a volunteer position which means they can step down anytime whenever they see fit with no repercussions. Working in this team you will be compensated with Admin Credit (adcred).

The different departments are as follows: Redemption and Design.

So, now that you know a little bit more of what each team does, are you curious on what team you would like to apply for?

The only team that will be looking for applications at this time are the Voluntary Teams which run the redemption queues and design queues.

Redemption Team

We are looking for fast learners, people that adapt quickly, and are willing to not be afraid of change. The team handles several different stages of the game. The workload of this position involves us being able to count Ascension Points (AP) to help level up stryx, judge the entry or entries to make sure that it passes the rules for activities, events, and more. AP also handles the rolling of said activities, events, and more! Don't worry, you will be trained by other redemption team admins for at least a couple of weeks before you are on your own. Being a part of this team can be more demanding than others so it's not for everyone. It is time consuming and stressful, so please do not apply unless you have extra time in your current schedule. You will be expected to begin training on counting AP before you can go onto the other duties of the redemption team since we are in charge of so much. There is a trial period of a month to see if you are a good fit for the team.

Design Approval

The group has gotten large enough that we're starting to experience a lot of backlog in the Design Approval and Design Corrections departments, so we need more people who can help us out! You will be expected to have a good knowledge of what is and is not acceptable in designs, but if you're ever uncertain, you will be allowed to ask a chatroom of other admins for help! This job may include Salon work. WARNING: This is perhaps the most demanding section of admin work. It can be stressful, and requires good customer service and communication skills. It is time-consuming, so please do not apply unless you have a lot of extra time you can devote to design work.
