I'm glad this big beastie is peaceful, its adorable and I'd be sad to see it hurt. It's face is all soft and derpy, I'd catch a ride on one for sure. Your mer looks excellent here, the detail on his hands is wonderfully done and his spear posture feel convincing. Hopefully the Epiale just caught him off guard.
