Nice rich colors on his garb, and a lovely touch with the shading on the quilted details. It seems quite elegant, and perhaps a little tricky to move in - but for somebody in a very staid and careful profession, that may not be a problem!

Is there any particular symbolism to the design of the outfit? I notice the recurring crown - is he under royal patronage, or in the uniform of a royal university?
