Oh you have really nice details here! 
I like its eye too.
And especially that you did put spome effort into the anatomy as well and you didn't do the very stereotypical shapes, like his teeth, the wings and the paws.
I'm not fully sure about that globe(?) in front of his face..might be the moon..?
Haha as for feathers, that Mexican Dragon (starting with "Q" something >,< ) has feathured wings and long tail, so I know it's exsisiting in myths.
