[Art] an unfinished terror

Curious here- what do you know about setting up a figure? I'm not trying to be mean here- I think there is alot for you to learn by a few tutorials- this one came from the book I learnt to draw from- 'Drawing the head and figure' by Jack Hamm http://www.deviantart.com/view/11939496/ if you want to get a great how to draw book, that one is GREAT! This one has a few basics from it thouhg, and I think it will help. If you want any more help from there, give me a buzz via e-mail, and I'll see if I can red line it to show how I believe it looks (I'm not an expert- its how I 'think' it is ^^; ) If this is cool, I could give some real crit ^^

Hm, on any gender, I have problems drawing the torso. I tend to draw the stomach-area too long or it looks square. Females are easier in this area because they have more curves, but my guys have no detail whatso-ever.
Now since this is a old sketch, (drawn about 4 months ago) I could probably re-draw it much better. The unfinished fighting stance is probably a reflection of this one.
Any tutorials at all would loved and cherished, and would certainly help a ton!
