This gives me the vibe of one of those old time movies where the good guy barges into the villains lair (btw i love how the light softly comes from the portal but a brighter light is clearly at the side it makes you wonder what it is!)

I get what you mean! Like one of those old cartoon reels... I didn't have much time left to work on this, so I figured I'd work in greyscale since it seemed quicker.
