I really love how her discovery of her fire element manifested in a way that I imagine added to the startle and dismay a lot!

Is how it manifested also due to her little eldritch passengers?

    Yes! Usually those aren't such literal eyeballs, they're just metaphors for "eyes on the back of your head"; she was always wary, so after the cataclysm she got infected with paranoia and all the attendant woes. She was*glad* she wasn't warped into a monster physically and thought she escaped the worst of it. Fire plays a part in some of the monsters in her world, so gaining this element is not putting her in a good place.

      Ahh alright, very interested to be sure! I imagine it will be quite the struggle for her dealing with this in the future, but she seems to be a strong willed individual so I'm hoping she will do alright.
