oooo, what tools did you use to make this? I've always wanted to get back into traditional art but just never had the confidence or the tools to.

This looks really nice btw Smile

Hi, thank you! I used mostly watercolor pencils. They're a very useful material for achieving painterly effects with all the fine control you get more easily from colored pencils or graphite than classic paint. I also went over the piece and added highlights and effects (like the stars) using white acrylic paint with a very, VERY small brush.

Paper might matter here, too, in which case I used Arches hot press watercolor paper. Arches is admittedly pretty high-quality, and therefore expensive. Since you'd just be getting back into it and may not have the budget for high-grade materials, I'd say a cheaper paper, like Canson brand watercolor pads or mixed media sketchbooks, would work out very well too.

Thanks again for the comment and questions. I love making traditional art, and I'm sure if you've enjoyed it once before, you can get back into it! Big Smile Best of luck to you!

I used to use water colour pencils a lot as a kid but never really go into the craft much Smile

      Thanks again!
