I've been having a bad couple days and this has cheered me up a bit. Thanks much!
I've been really experimenting with colors, lighting, and shading lately. Thanks to how I learn I can only glean so much from tutorials and such, most of my learning is studying photos and other peoples art and trying to figure it all out. Kinda like that confused lady math meme haha.
On the top I did an overlay of gold to purple-blue over the entire bg. Its kinda subtle but the effect is great. I've always loved doing small details like plants and stuff too. Still gotta work on water though.

Experimentation can be a ton of fun, I'll be trying that out myself soon as well! Mine will be focused more on lineart, since that's what I'm least happy doing in my art. We all learn differently, learning by hands on can be fun and result in interesting finds! I know I have a way I do water (in detailed pieces) that I found while trying to do something different, but I liked it better.
Oh, I would not have noticed the overlay if you hadn't mentioned it! Colors are delightful to work with. If I don't stop myself, I get way into detailing, but then the pictured feels all cluttered, which is unfortunate. No problem, keep it up!
