.....Wanna play? Gah... I finally got him done. I spent more time on him than I did any of the other characters I did. But alas, he is done. And this is the last installment in my little tribute to the old school horror movie villains. It wouldn't have been complete without Chucky from Child's Play. And not the ridiculous stupid Chucky from the Seed of Chucky or Bride of Chucky movies. >< No, this is the scary Chucky that used to creep the hell out of me. I don't know if any of you remember, but back in the late 80's to early 90's PlaySkool came out with those My Buddy dolls. Anyone remember those? Well my little brother had one and I hated that damn thing because I thought it was going to come to life and kill me. >< Anyway... I have no idea how long this one took me to do. Hours upon hours. Days upon days. Mostly because I was lacking motivation to finish it. All right... enough ranting. Hope you guys have liked my horror villain project. I have no idea what to draw next...
Oh my god! I have missed so much in my absence. I'm going to have to put aside a day to go through your entire gallery.
You just did one of my favorite horror movie characters and you did a great job at that. The expression makes the piece. Baby we may have to colab once I get back up to speed.
Girl, talk about versatility. You swing from anime to portraits, to realism to horror, and you deliver each one with creativity and talent. I'm SO your biggest fan!! Keep 'em comin' Kristy. Luv ya lots ^_^
As I'm sure you guessed, I haven't seen ANY of the Chucky movies. But I think my aunt has Child's Play, so I guess I'll have to ask her if I see her this week.
But I DO know who Chucky is, thankfully. I remember when I was a munchkin, I was a big fan of this kid's show called the RugRats (maybe you've heard of it) but there's a little kid in the series also known as Chuckie. Well, when I saw a picture of THIS Chucky, I got uber freaked out because they not only have the same name, but they kind of look alike. I never looked at the RugRats the same again.
But still, this is very nice. Creepy as hell, too. My only crit would be that the knife is a bit bright, and hard to look at. But other than that, this looks excellent.
The knife is a bit bright? Well then it looks like I have done a great job there then. I wanted to make sure that his knife stood out quite a bit because it is one of the last things the victim will see before he or she dies. Mwahahaha!!! Damn evil little doll anyhow. >< Which reminds me... this movie is actually on tonight. I think I shall watch it. ^_^ Thank you so much for your insight and for the wonderful review. It is much appreciated. ^_^
Out of all of the drawings I did of this genre, I think this one turned out the best. Of course I spent such a long time on this one trying to make it look as good as I could. The first 3 Child's Play movies freaked me out too! After that, they just got stupid. >< C'est la vie, eh?
Yeah man those are freaky! The fact that a doll will kill me is enough to make me scream like a girl. I'd just step on it and thorw it out the window but I guess no one though of that
Hahaha! I'd pay good money to hear you scream like a little girl. That would be funny. And wouldn't it have been so much better if they had just thrown him out the window? Or not even bought the damn thing in the first place due to the sheer creepiness of it? Some people deserve to be killed by evil dolls. ><
Yeah everyone wants to hear me scream like a little girl I never would have found the Child's Play series any good is Chucky wasn't the way he is. He's cool and a total badass....for a doll anyway
Haha! Yes. He will be your "friend till the end." Haha! Thank you so much for the comments Chas. I have always been creeped out by Chucky. And Chas... I STILL can't figure out how to do layers!!! Ah well. For now I will stick to coloring it this way. Thanks again.
I am probably going to be kicking myself in the ass as soon as I learn how to layer and find out how simple it is. I will be all "Oh... so that's all there is to it." Ah well.
*giggles* Thank you my love. He is the creepiest little shit I have ever seen. >< I hate dolls of any kind. Well except for Barbies. Those are okay. But any other ones, no no no. I am glad you like him hun. He was such a pain in my ass to get done. But alas, he is complete. Yay! I lvoe you.
I haven't seen the more recent Chucky movies, but I think I remember seeing part of the old 80's movie Child's Play. I was creeped out by him!! He looks scary, I must say, hun. You did an awesome job in capturing his character.
Yay! Thank you so much!*glomps* I wanted him to look pretty wicked and evil. And that hair of his. It is basically like a clown's hair. Thank you so much for your compliments hun. All my love to you.
i dont remeber if this one was my childhood trauma but in some part of my life when i was a little kid..like 5 or 6 i saw a movie where there was this little baby or something and everyone around him died.,,maybe thats why i dont like little babies now..lol.. well what can i say...creepy...ill check under my bed tonight..just in case...
Oh you poor thing...I hate babies that kill everything around them. Well I am even more freaked out by this one movie I saw when I was a wee bit. It was called Dolls. And these porcelain dolls came to life and killed everyone. >< I now will not even look at a porcelain doll. I am traumatized for life. >< Thank you for the comment luv.
He's totally creppy! Yeah I hate the new chucky movies I was only scared with the old ones and when I mean scared I mean I couldn't sleep with the lights off for like two weeks ...what? I was 5 for gods skaes lol but yeah great job with this.
Haha! So I am not the only one who crept away from childhood completely freaked out by these ugly dolls. Yeah, I was like 5 or 6 or 7 (I have no idea actually ) when I first saw the original Child's Play movie. And then my little brother had one of those "My Buddy" dolls (that were alot like Chucky, mind you) and the damn thing always ended up in my room or around me somehow. >< So yeah, I always would throw the dang thing back in his room because I thought it was trying to kill me. But anyway, I worked really hard on this one. He took me longer to do than the other 3 put together. I just couldn't seem to get his skin to look right. It is harder making a doll's skin than a person's because it has a weird kind of plastic-y texture. Oh I don't know how to explain it. But thank you just the same hun.
You're very welcome Oh and i know what you mean about scary dolls. I hate those porcelin dolls *shudders* they creep me out like nothin else! And my mom loves to buy them so they're all over the place!! My brother used to sit them on my chair so when I woke up in the morning they were there just sitting and staring at me! ...that jerkface -_- lol
Oh yes. Those are the worst. >< When I was little I watched a movie called Dolls where all these porcelain dolls come to life and kill everyone. So I have been scarred for life from that. That and that movie Killer Klowns from Outer Space. I hate that movie too. >< Ooh.... I should draw a really scary clown.... yeah... but I will probably scare the crap out of myself. I hate clowns. ><
Yeah scary clowns creep me out too...well clowns in general kinda just get on my nerves I saw this one movie called puppet master where these deformed dolls came to life (they had like saws and guns and knives things like that attached to them )totally creeped me out.
