Getting a later start than the rest of the trainers, Jewel was at home taking care of her sick mother for a while before she set out on her own after her mother passed, taking it upon herself to start over and do something new instead of fearing the inevitable. She turns her blinders on to the negative as best as she can, unrealistically fighting the idea that something, if anything, could possibly get in the way of that happiness. Underneath the thin shell she has, she has a hard time accepting hard truths, unwanting to relive her past like with her mother, so she may become stubborn and sacrifice herself at times unneeded to prevent such a thing to happen again. As positive as she seems to be, she is, but everyone has their breaking point and she is only human. Despite the darkness she holds, she finds a way to escape by roaming and creating bonds with others, including Pokemon, to help her move past the things she fears, and the ways of the world. Headstrong with a playful attitude, Jewel prides herself in helping others, and making them smile. She finds it hard to focus on herself when her attention is everywhere else, often tiring herself out to where she sometimes wanders off to have a moment to herself, though it is seldom so. She is naive and overtrusting, finding herself in tough situations at times, even though she sees the good in a lot of people despite the world having very real evils in it.
