Memoirs of a Geisha

I was on the net surfing last night and I came across this pic for the movie Memoirs of a Geisha, and I fell I fell in love with it. So I drew it. Of course it is more like an anime version of the Geisha Girl. But it was fun to do, and it only took about 10 minutes to draw and a bout 15 minutes to color.

Haha, it makes me think of pop-art with the oversimplification and large, flat features (good thing, since this seems more design-y than illustrative). Corky Smile Maybe a little grey or blue shading in the face might add another level of depth, though, but I enjoy this as is. Heart I like the different shades in her lips, though, and I think it plays nicely with the flatness of the rest of the image. Nice work! Big Smile

Thank you, yeah it is supposed to be kind of flat. I didnt want it to be realistic, a little more anime like, but not really anime. Do you understand what I mean Big Smile

Yeah, I get it. I like the flatness, actually, if you misinterpreted me. Big Smile
