Nurrun Rikta, formally known by the title of "Annilys" or "Invalid", is the guardian caretaker, best friend, and older brother of Rex. Nurrun, unlike the rest of his people, was ccreated artificially in a lab to be the perfect soldier and was the very first and last success as the expiraments were deemed cruel and therefore banned. Although given a fairly regular childhood, he firmly believes he is still obliged to protect the Royal family from harm and had appointed himself to be Rex's protector.
After the tragic loss of Rex's parents, Nurrun had ran away into hiding to raise the young Prince safely. They both grew up in the forest and alleyways of a small port town, and while Rex played, Nurrun ensured their safety and enough food for the both of them to eat.
Although mostly humble, Nurrun is not above messing with passing guards and has, in fact, made it his duty to defy the new ruling authority using his spearmanship and magic alone. He would harbour most of the hardships for his younger brother so he doesn't face the reality of the situation too early, wanting Rex to experience more of a childhood than he ever did.
