It's a bracelet made of leather strings with silver coins. He crafted it from killing a fierce creature and using the coins he got from selling it's meat. He kept it as a reminder of his first successful exchange in a market place something that was very daunting for him. So now he keeps it as a good luck charm especially when he has to interact with others.
