Polyphemus Moth on Wooden Box

Finished this one this morning. I prefer to do "species" rather then "fictitious". Hand painted in Acrylic (with really tiny brushes, lol.).

This is gorgeous! I love the background, the lavender goes with the orange of the moth beautifully.

  Thank you, it was originally to be on a green background, which was darker, but not dark enough. The colors blended in too much, being about the same shade. Just looked blaw. Glad I changed it. It looks so much better on the lavender.
