Ria Contest Entry

This is my entry for repair-her-armor’s contest. I chose design #2 (the “Lingerie Armor”), mainly because I wanted a challenge (the original design - like a lot of female “armour" in RPGs - is basically lingerie).

Since the original design features a corset/negligee, I decided to go with scaled leather armour, so I could make it form-fitting while still being reasonably practical (no boob plates though because those are a major liability). The feathery shoulder-pads reminded me of some of the Night Elf armours from WoW, so I took most of my insipiration from various “elvish" armours and Skyrim’s Nightingale Armour (it’s one of my favourite female game armours). Hopefully, I haven’t taken too many liberties with the design here but it was a lot of fun to draw, so it was worth doing regardless of whether I win any prizes or not.

This is the first full-body picture I’ve ever coloured using ProMarkers. I couldn’t get the right shade of turquoise for the feathers, etc. using my blue/green markers, so I decided blue would look the best. There are some things that could be improved but overall, I’m quite pleased with the results.
