Here is Xavier doing his favourite down time activity... nesting in a bunch of blankets where he can spy on people... careful!  Oftentimes items might go missing and end up in his pile... books, silverware, clothing... money... hey where's my wallet anyway!

Besides, what's a snake to do... he needs to regulate his body temperature some how after all.
