X-men: Revival: Into Our Futures

After some time, everyone was situated once more. Nalm was resting in a room upstairs as the others discussed what all had happened in the living room after eating and recovering. The professor looked saddened to hear what had happened to Magneto Professor X: Eric.. my friend.. I am sorry you had to return to this world under such conditions.. my dear friend..
Ellie looked to the professor sheepishly, speaking up quietly. "Are we.. in trouble?"
He shook his head and smiled Professor: Not at all, Ellie, on the contrary, everyone should be grateful for what you have done. Had you not been adamant on finding Nalm, I'm sure Apocalypse would have risen once more in secret. What's more, we now know that Mister Sinister is in league with very dangerous people.
Emma looked to him Emma: Professor, about this journey to the Astral Plane, I'm thinking, we should take her with us.
He nodded Professor X: I am indeed agreed on that, however that journey will have to wait longer than we anticipated.. It seems there are measures in place to prevent us from going to the Astral Plane. We have recently discovered a barrier is preventing us from even stepping foot into the realm.
Jean blinked Jean: A barrier?.. there shouldn't be a way to stop us with a barrier.
He nodded Professor X: usually there would not, but this barrier specifically is from a mutant able to extend their powers to reach even the non physical planes. To be specific, this mutant is blocking a section in the Astral plane that we need to go to.
Beast started to explain Beast: The girl we are looking for, Christina is apparently gifted with an amazing ability to send her form to the astral plane at any time, however by doing this she creates a portal from that plane and others beyond the realm of possibility by leaving her body. Her own body is a gateway to and from any realm beyond the mortal one when her spirit and consciousness is separated.
Jean blinked Jean: what does that mean? a being of any kind can possess her body and use it?
He shook his head Beast: no.. she is literally a doorway where any being she wishes can be taken into our realm or wherever she chooses.
Storm nodded Storm: such powers go beyond a normal mutant.. but whats more the strain on her may be tremendous. Do you remember when Illyana, Colossus's sister was trapped in the Astral Plane by Shadow King? her body began to die without its consciousness. She lasted nearly a week until Jean and the others were able to rescue her but based on the information we have received, it seems Christina has been in the astral plane for over a year.
Emma blinked Emma: Impossible! no creature alive can survive that long without returning to its body.
Beast nodded Beast: you are right, but she is surviving due to Sinister and M.I.N.C.E.
Professor X nodded Professor X: this information is valid, Gambit was able to make his way into their base and as we speak is waiting for the next move undercover.
He shook his head Professor X: no. I will have you split up. Jean and Emma, you will go to Washington DC with me to speak with a very important person. Beast, Storm and if she wishes, Ellie, I want you to meet Logan in Westchester. He has found one of Deadpools old hangouts and we need to regroup soon. Scott is unavailable right now, but I assume he will return when we need him. Lastly Colossus has not returned either.. but seeing how things have become we will move on without him.
Beast smiled Beast: So then, we are returning to New York. I am saddened that the mansion will not go with us, but that does leave me curious as to the fate of young Nalm.
Moira nodded Moira: i've decided to keep Nalm here for the time being under guard. I think it's the best thing to do.
Emma shook her head Emma: you sure about that? wouldnt harboring him cause the Mutant Research Center to be a target? isn't that what you wanted to avoid?
Moira shook her head Moira: would you have me toss him out into the world? or join the X men with his unstable powers? Besides, do you not remember last time what happened? We are literally standing in a mansion on the island.
Ellie looked to them. "It doesn't seem like their unstable anymore.. and shouldn't that be his choice?"
He nodded Professor X: ...under any other circumstances I'd say yes.. but Nalm is different.. and for one he's no longer in our care.. it seems someone's come to take him back.
Emma blinked Emma: what take him back? Who? where?
A voice came from an open doorway ???: To my future. the figure walked forward revealing himself as Bishop and the names Bishop.
Jean blinked Jean: Bishop?! your here? why?
He shook his head Bishop: hitched a ride on your mansion as it came back. Gave me a bit of a temporal change though. I feel like I'm ten years younger.
Ellie frowned. "Has anyone even talked to Nalm about all this?"
Moira nodded Moria: He's not even awake yet. Maybe it would be best to wait and see how he feels about this.
Emma gave Bishop a confused look Emma: And just how are you involved in this anyhow?
Bishop growled Bishop: Lady, don't give me any lip! When my life's on the line there's no way I'm not involved.
Beast nodded Beast: I believe what he means to say is, Nalm is very close to him.
Bishop snarled Bishop: Close nothin! he's my distant ancestor!
Ellie stared. "Wait, what??"
Bishop nodded Bishop: lets just say in a timeline that may or may not happen he's the one that may be a great great relative. What's more you have a lot more problems than what's going on here. You understand that since im here there has to be a Pursuer right?
Jean blinked Jean: A pursuer? what do you mean?
Bishop nodded Bishop: the last time i went through time, I was the one trying to kill assassins of the X men, now its all reversed. I have to defend Nalm from the Pursuer that comes through the timeline.
Beast blinked Beast: you never mentioned that.. the X men may not stand a chance against another time traveler.
Bishop shook his head Bishop: you have all you need in this timeline, me included. Whats more we already know who the pursuer is this time.
Professor X blinked Professor X: Cable!
Bishop nodded Bishop: ive seen parts of this future already, so i at least know who he is, but the more i stay here the more it gets blurry. Cable's going to come after him, and im not gonna let it all go his way.
Emma shook her head Emma: Time travel, it always comes with trouble.. so what are we going to do about all this?
The professor nodded Professor: As I said, once you reach Deadpool, then we will have what we need. You all have your mission, when you are ready to leave meet with your team leaders. Storm, your in charge of the Manchester team. Thats all for now. Emma, Jean and Moira soon talked with him separately from the group.
Bishop sat on the couch a bit as Beast moved to his room to gather what he needed. Storm made her way over to Ellie and spoke Stor,: You'll be with me this time, Ellie, don't worry, things will be fine.
Ellie shook her head. "That's good and all, but you're all ignoring the fact that you still haven't gotten to talk about any of this with Nalm. What if it's not what he wants for his future??"
Storm nodded Storm: I agree, but right now Nalm seems to be having trouble waking again.. he may not awaken anytime soon either.. the safest course of action is to leave him in Moira's care. Once he awakens he may not even listen to us though. I believe you are the only person he will listen to.
Ellie blinked. "Huh..? Why do you believe that? Though.. I guess I understand. For now, he's been through a lot. so it makes sense if he needs to rest." She shook her head, trying to refocus. "Also, what will I need to do for this mission?"
Bishop soon called out to her Bishop: hey! Girl! come here a sec.
Storm blinked Storm: Bishop?
Ellie jumped a bit in surprise, but made her way over to him. "Yes?"
He shook his head Bishop: i heard you have some interesting abilities too, you made a pretty good general in one of the timelines but you better not get too close to Nalm, you hear me, pipsqueak?
Ellie frowned. "And, why's that?"
He growled a bit Bishop: Anyone who gets too close to him, tends to end up dead quickly. Especially someone like you who can barely defend themself.
Ellie shook her head. "That's not a real reason to not get close to him. And, I can defend myself more now."
He smirked Bishop: you think one battle is gonna...  peh! fine we'll see.. just remember to turn it up to twelve when the time is right.
Ellie shook her head. "No, I know one battle isn't enough.. to prove anything. But, it's up to Nalm if he wants to let me close. Not you and not anyone else. But I will try my best to not die anytime soon."
Storm looked to Ellie Storm: lets go shall we? when your ready meet us in the yard. The X Jet will take us to Manchester.
Ellie nodded and made her way out to the yard. "Alright."
Storm soon followed as Beast had already arrived. The X Jet was ready slowly humming as the two of them walked onboard and sat in their seats. Beast soon piloted the jet with Storm sitting in the co pilot seat. The plane began to fly up as the group started to their destination. Beast nodded focusing a bit as they flew Beast: Deadpool.. hmm.. whatever dealings he had with sinister it led to him having a base in Genosha. No one would usually consider him though.. curious indeed.
Ellie spoke up, curious. "What is Deadpool like? Is there anything to know to expect when it comes to him?"
Storm shook her head Storm: Deadpool is... different from most. His abilities nearly outshine his insanity, but he should not be considered a fool. He is highly dangerous. Just try to not take him too seriously.. and at the same time do..
Beast nodded Beast: “Visit either you like: they’re both mad.” Alice's Adventures In Wonderland.
Soon the jet would arrive at a small clearing away from bigger areas of the city and land hidden from sight. The group made their way out of jet and started towards the last location where Wolverine was. As they made their way closer to the area, they soon stopped seeing a diner crowded with people as well as police. Storm walked up a bit to the diner then blinked seeing inside Storm: ...ah well.. we no longer have to look for them.. it seems wolverine and deadpool are having lunch..
Beast blinked but nodded making his way through the crowd with the others following him. People shivered as they moved out the way and the group walked inside. Everyone else in tables, including the chef, waitress and others looked on with hesitance at the last booth that held an annoyed wolverine and deadpool eating bagels. He soon spotted beast and the others and waved to them Deadpool: Hey blue man group! over here! grab a booth! no one else is!
Ellie blinked, noticing the other folks nervous behavior but made her way over to them and sat down nearby.
the others sat calmly as deadpool looked to the chef Deadpool: hey! cook! throw another one of those bagels on the burner! my treat! the chef shivered but nodded and moved back to the kitchen. yo waitress my people are thirsty! get them some generic brand drinks! ya know what i mean! she shivered a bit and rushed off to get the drinks.
Wolverine shook his head Wolverine: are you done wade, you're not making this easy.
He smirked under his mask Deadpool: aww lookie whose usin broster names! my big Log! ya know you gotta work out more, less flappin and more slashin, ya know what i mean?
Wolverine growled Wolverine: Wade! Pay attention! tell me why ya went and helped Sinister get to Genosha! the hell are you thinkin!
Deadpool sat back with his feet up on the side of the booth Deadpool: come on logie! ya think id go and say no to what he was givin me? and dont ya go thinkin hes givin me something I aint already got! I mean usually i shoot first and ask questions to the hole but ya can't put a mouth on an empty face right? trust me ive tried.. anyhow whose the new girl, lookin sharp with them gloves! are those the five G? nah lookin more like the seven and a half! but ya growin sport! oh man X men grow so fast. Soon she'll be a super extra X men right?
Wolverine lowered his head annoyed Wolverine: its like talking to stupid sometimes...
Beast smiled Beast: Calm yourself wolverine, i'm certain we can gather our intel in a more calmer way.
Wolverine shugged Wolverine: peh! im done losing brain cells bub, you can take a crack at him.
Deadpool smirked Deadpool: swing an a miss! next batta!
Ellie laughed a little. "My name is Ellie. But, I'm not part of the X Men. What can we do to get you to be willing to tell us what you know?"
Deadpool blinked Deadpool: Ellie? did you say Ellie? Oh man this is... oh my gosh this is a birthday holiday and a new year in one ain't it! the one the only ELLIE! give her a round of applause everyone! She's a winner!
Ellie looked to him in confusion. "Uh.."
He waved his hand Deadpool: no no! dont think it dont say it! I know what your wondering "what do I get whats my prize why is he staring at me with those gorgeous blue eyes!? well come a little closer and i'll tell ya. Come on dont worry I won't bite yet, and I've been spayed!
Ellie moved closer to him, wondering what he was going to do.
Soon before she knew it a gun was raised to her neck as Deadpool readied to fire Deadpool: because your my target. BANG! before the gun went off Wolverine pulled her back. Soon Deadpool vanished and reappeared behind the counter as people ran in terror. He soon was dressed up as a chef and looked to them whats the matter! ya dont like the foood?!
Wolverine moved in front as the others began to get ready. He snarled Wolverine: Wade what are you doing!?
Deadpool raised two guns and fired as wolverine pulled her behind him taking the bullets. He then teleported again just outside the glass pressing his face against the mirror Deadpool: Old paste face told me to kill her if I met her! he said hed give me all I want in anything i want, usually id say now but who am I to not drop a new X men? besides im feelin lucky! he rose a grenade and soon tossed it at the glass shattering it as the grenade dropped in front.
Storm soon waved her hands and sent it back out as it flew past deadpools head and into a parked car exploding it as people ran for their lives. He teleported once more into a distance and started to slowly walk towards them. Now everyone readied themselves as he approached Storm: be careful everyone.
Ellie spoke out. "Why does Sinister want me dead?"
He soon approached (speaking in the tone of arnold schwarzenegger) Deadpool: because little girl! you change the future! I was sent back to change that! you have to be.. he pulled out his blades and rushed forward Terminated!
Before he could get close however wolverine clashed with him and kicked him back knocking him into a street lamp breaking his back. Wolverine growled Wolverine: Do you know what you're doing?! Mutants everywhere depend on this! more than that, she's just a kid!
he soon set his spine back in place and stood up much to the disgust of Storm. He shook a bit and nodded Deadpool: havent ya heard wolvie? kids can be cruel, besides mutants, humans, dogs, cats, owls, supercomputers, gods, angels, devils, that annoying bird that wants to always sing in the morning at the window seal, the roosters and bees and you know the gist! they all don't matter to me! A job is a job! and I get them done! Now stand still he soon pulled out a large rocket launcher. i don't wanna miss! he fired it at them next.
Storm moved and sent a wave of wind upward causing it to fly off into the air and explode. Deadpool vanished however and reappeared behind her raising his sword to slash at her back
Ellie held out her hand at Deadpool, using her energy to try to stop him by having it shock him in reaction to his blood, using her ability.
his blood soon however caused a backlash and short circuited one of her gloves causing the group to be knocked away in an explosion. Storm and beast recovered while deadpool was sent tumbling onto the road. He soon stood up dazed Deadpool: oh man! w-whadaya do to ma blood... oh god... can't feel my ears... wait.. eh where'd i put them..
Ellie's glove soon shut down but the other allowing her to use energy was still stable.
Ellie blinked, surprised by it. "What the heck??"
Wolverine shook his head Wolverine: kid id be careful about him, this guys the one who thought nitroglycerin would be funny to inject in his butt! im sure hes done worse since then.
Deadpool laughed Deadpool: pahahahha you said butt!
Beast shook his head Beast: he may have been more prepared to fight you than considered.
Deadpool nodded Deadpool: yep yep! this time i put a lot of explody thingis in my blood. One small shock and boom!  I could blow up a whole city block. (he looked to the viewers) don't ask me how this works! you wrote it!
soon he vanished and reappeared slashing at Ellie but was stopped once more by wolverines claws. He quickly started to vanish and reappear diving down at them at first then appearing in a distance firing off multiple shots. Storm focused wind around the group to block the bullets. Deadpool got annoyed and moved with semi automatic weapons firing more shots rapidly. He blinked annoyed at the shield then started to fire larger heavy caliber guns to no avail. He tossed them away and growled Deadpool: are you gonna do this all day! come on! your boring my audience!
Wolverine snarled Wolverine: enough! we dont have time to waste on you anymore. So unless you want to find yourself chopped into so many pieces you'll be finding yourself in china, tell us what we want to know!
Ellie looked to Deadpool. "You said Sinister doesn't want me to affect or change the future. But, what if you killing me ruins your future too? And how do figure that Sinister is actually going to give you anything once he gets what he wants?"
Deadpool sighed Deadpool: YOU have not read my comics have you? But enough about that! What makes you think he WON'T give me what i want, or already has? Check out THIS BIG BOY!! he rose his hand as a giant laser gun appeared in it and charged up imma firin my laser!!
Bishop's words suddenly appeared in her mind "just remember to turn it up to twelve when the time is right."
Ellie blinked, remembering the words. She rose her energy , focusing it into the remaining glove and trying to raise it to twelve percent.
Soon as he fired at them the gloves charge rose up to twelve. Soon her body began to glow and she moved forward instinctively towards the laser blast. It hit her but was absorbed into her body as energy started to form around her fist. The group looked wide eyed at her as she charged with energy. Deadpool blinked Deadpool: aww ya gotta be freakin kidding me! your gonna do this NOW?! PULLA BISHOP ON ME?!
Wolverine looked to her Wolverine: Kid! ya better get a good shot in!
Ellie aimed carefully and sent the energy firing back at Deadpool, sending it soaring back at him.
Soon her hand glowed and fired out a huge beam of energy straight to deadpool. He blinked and slowly ran away for dramatic effect but was engulfed in the blast as it slowly turned upward into the sky vanishing. The glove soon charged out sparks and whirred to a halt shutting down as everyone looked to the rut in the ground she had made from the energy where Deadpool seemed to completely vanish.
Wolverine looked around Wolverine: looks like ya got him... but that might be a problem. Can't get information out of ash...
soon a voice was heard below their feet as Ellie felt a nudge at her leg Deadpool: ya think ya got me! i'll bite yer kneecaps! deadpools head was knocking at her leg. i'm one more step ahead of ya!
the group looked seeing him much to their surprise.
Ellie yelped in surprise, jumping away from the bouncing head.
he snarled as Wolverine picked him up with a smirk Wolverine: well wade thats a good look for ya, ready to start talkin or do i have to make you a shish kabob?
he sighed and nodded Deadpool: alright you win... guess old purple man wont be giving me my chimichangas today..  be right back.. he teleported instantly.
Ellie blinked. "He disappeared?"
Soon he reappeared full body and all and sighed Deadpool: phew! you would NOT want to know what i did to get this body back! Anyhow I'm ready to talk coppers but ya won't get much out of me!
Wolverine shook his head Wolverine: what... ugh whatever, i'm going back to the jet. he shook his head annoyed and walked away
Beast looked around a bit Beast: perhaps this would be best taken somewhere.. remote. Let's return to the jet. Deadpool, if you please.
Deadpool smirked Deadpool: oh, are you inviting me? you are too kind good blue furry man! let us go to the rabbit hole, together!
soon the two of them walked off as Storm shrugged Storm: what a strange turn of events.. though i worry about all this damage.. it was good no one was hurt. Lets go Ellie.. she headed back to the jet as well.
Ellie nodded and followed after the others to the jet.
after a bit of time they all arrived at the X jet sitting in the seats inside. Deadpool stretched out overlapping two seats and yawned Deadpool: man you guys are really puttin ol deadpool in a bind arnt ya? i mean no refreshments no food and not even a thank you. At least the purple man had the nerve to try to bribe me!
Wolverine shook his head Wolverine: we could always burn ya down to a head again! would be easier to get ya on a grill.
Deadpool blinked Deadpool: Man what happen to ya wolfie? did they really go and make ya soft inside too? I always thought you were filled with Canadian grape soda and gummy bears before but...
Wolverine growled Wolverine: shut up! start talkin sense before I cut ya some more brain holes!
Deadpool nodded Deadpool: okay okay, i'll play the common sense act for this stupid RP.... he gave a deep breath then sighed what do you want to know?
Storm nodded Storm: how did you get sinister into Genosha? It was supposed to blocked off to even teleporters.
Deadpool blinked Deadpool: thats it? oh no no no no, you did NOT stop my meal, break my spine, and turn me to a head for just THAT, did you? Sinister was already in Genosha!
Beast blinked Beast: what? how?
Deadpool shrugged Deadpool: i dont know! ask the guy im sure one of his thousands of clones knows! their more smarter than most of mine, have ya seen them? they can't even fart right!
Ellie stared. "He has thousands??"
Deadpool huffed Deadpool: Its a figure of speech, Copycat!
Wolverine growled Wolverine: What's Sinisters goal behind all this? what's he got to do with M.I.N.C.E?
Deadpool sighed Deadpool: your really asking me like im some kind of common sense guy! Please dont make me suffer through this chaos anymore! Hes got the girls body at their HQ in Washington! Sinister has the "Doctor" giving her mixtures of mute mute blood to keep her alive and transform her so he can have her body. The guy wants to be part of the IN club and make sure he can control whats a party and whats stopped at the door by a big hairy guy with a tablet named RAUL!
Storm looked to them Storm: if I understand him correctly, Sinister is looking to become part of the Life Trinity.
Beast nodded Beast: that explains his impulsiveness to recruit every one he can to track down the three of them.
Beast thought for a moment Beast: but with only one of them, he cant go through with his plans.. and with many laws in place that forbid attacks on mutants in public he cannot go against them.
Wolverine growled Wolverine: those laws only affect humans versus mutants, not mutants versus mutants..
Storm blinked Storm: so then.. if Sinister teamed up with M.I.N.C.E an organization made to terminate anomalies that could harm the world.. in public..
Beast nodded Beast: and mutant incidents happened around the country, say vanishing buildings, time manipulation and more..
Deadpool clapped Deadpool: Tah-da! remember the Xcution squads and Sentinels?
Ellie stared. "They'd be able to activate them and take action against us, because we'd be considered a threat.. "
Wolverine shook his head Wolverine: wit the non aggression act in play tho, even if mutants did cause trouble for humans it would be some time before they'd get a chance to try and crack our skulls.
Ellie shook her head. "Isn't he proof that they'll just use other mutants to do it for them?"
Deadpool nodded Deadpool: BINGO! THE COPYCAT KNOWS THE NAMEO!
Beast blinked Beasts: "in order to understand.. I destroyed myself"...
Storm nodded Storm: their using mutants to fight mutants.. some kind of police force.. that was the true reason M.I.N.C.E was formed!
Wolverine growled Wolverine: and with Sinister workin for them makin copies of mutants, they got themselves a whole damn army!
Storm moved to the controls of the jet along with beast as they started to take off. Wolverine looked to Ellie Wolverine: Strap in kid, we're goin' home!
Ellie sat down in one of the seats and strapped herself in with a nod.
Deadpool smiled kicking back into a seat Deadpool: im going hoome! yeah lets go! we can totally talk about world domination and making our own little avalon!
As soon as they got high enough though Beast opened the back door as wolverine grabbed deadpool Wolverine: Sorry bub, this flights X men only, Have a nice fall. he soon tossed deadpool out of the plane.
Deadpool yelled out at them Deadpool: ahhhhh screw it I didnt wanna be part of your stupid fighting group anyway! screw your little games, they dont even got my favorite fooooood he faded below the clouds as the jet took off into the air.
