X-men: Revival: Ability

She soon reappeared in her apartment just moments before. Nalm was explaining again to her about the room. he handed her a small booklet Nalm: this is the dates that you need to know, about trash, pest inspection, wash days, and more. Also, it has a calendar in it so you can keep track. There's water in there but no food, you may have to go out and buy some.

Ellie looked to him startled at this. "I .. wait... what happened?! No-no. whatever you do, don't go alone with Naz! Nalm, okay? I know you can reset the time.. too.. that's what you did just then right?"

Nalm blinked confused Nalm: reset... time? Naz?... oh crap I forgot to get him his drink! ah sorry but you'll have to take care of things.. he bowed and began to close the door Goodbye for now..

Ellie opened the door and rushed after him, following. "Wh-wait!"

he blinked stopping and looking confused. Naz was about to go towards him but was stopped in his place. Nalm Nalm: h-huh...

Ellie rushed forward Nalm, linking arms with him. "He's gonna grab you that drink you wanted, he was just on his way out, so I asked him to show me where the food mart was on his way there! Please forgive him for being a bit late, but I'm new and he just helped me settle in. I felt bad for making him late, so I'll pay for the drinks too!" She tried to pull Nalm down the stairs and outside, away from Naz before he could protest.

strangely Naz didn't respond. In fact, no one did. Everyone was still frozen in place.

Nalm blinked looking around at even outside as everyone was frozen Nalm: wh...what is going on..?

Ellie stared at them. "Ah...wait.. they're...They're stuck. But why can we move?"

a voice echoed a bit in their minds ?: It is because I'm keeping them quiet for a little bit.. I'm sorry to interrupt. A figure in a wheelchair appeared in front of them I did not want what happened before to happen again..

Nalm shivered Nalm: wh-what! who are you?

He smiled Prof. X: I am Professor Charles Xavier. My students call me Professor X. I am the leader of the X men and you may know me from the recent Anti Mutant Elimination Acts.

Nalm blinked Nalm: um... I know about you a little.. but I'm not allowed to have a tv.. I just look in the store windows... I've seen you on them though..

he nodded Prof. X: ah quite so. Nalm.. I would hate to bother you, but could you come to me and speak with us? You as well young Ellie.

Ellie blinked. "Forgive me for asking but why us? Is this because of what happened in the lab?"

he nodded Prof. X: That my dear, and so much more. There are many things you both must learn.. and i fear it may need to be told in a short time.

Nalm nodded Nalm: I don't get what's going on.. but I'm not one to say no.. I'll go.. he started off down the road towards a cafe ...its there right? the one you told me to go to?

he blinked and nodded Prof. X: yes.. but how did you.. hm.. remarkable.. you were able to know what i would say next..

Ellie blinked but followed after Nalm. "Wait.. so you really don't remember?"

Nalm shook his head looking at her as he stopped in front of a peculiar shop Nalm: ...remember what?

Ellie hesitated but filled him in on what happened, summarizing it for him. Prior to them re-arriving in her apartment.

Nalm blinked surprised then shook his head Nalm: . . . ...I don't remember a clue..

from inside the shop a door opened as a woman walked out ?: Nalm? Ellie? we've been expecting you. The Professor is inside. Shall we? She moved aside for them to enter

Ellie entered the shop, stepping aside after so the others could enter as well, as she waited.

Nalm did the same. She led them to a small booth in the back where the professor sat and sat next to him. The two of them did the same. As soon as they sat it seemed as if everything went into motion again. The Professor sighed a little and smiled. He looked at them with a nod Professor: there.. that is better.

Nalm looked around a bit confused then shook his head Nalm: um.. never mind.. err.. well your the professor I heard in my head.. could you tell me why I'm here? ..

He nodded Professor X: Nalm, how much do you remember about your past? or in fact a time of great stress where things.. tended to stop.. or change.

Nalm blinked then thought Nalm: ...um.. I remember one time when I was having the worst day.. and I felt like in my head i wanted a do-over.. then it appeared and I got it.. but it still ended up being the worst day.

the woman nodded ?: felt like deja vu, didn't it?

Nalm blinked Nalm: Deja... vu? .. I don't know what that is but yeah..

he looked to Nalm calmly Prof. X: I'm sure you know it wasn't a miracle or a wish or anything.. do you know what it was? you are the one who willed it to be.. with your powers.

Nalm shook his head Nalm: my powers... I don't have any powers.. what happens around me is pure coincidence..

he shook his head Prof. X: I'm sorry but.. that is not the case.. think back.. how long have you been working for Layla's apartments?

Nalm thought for a moment Nalm: ...since I was sixteen? ...and I'm only eighteen now so.. two years?

He closed his eyes Prof. X: Nalm...

the woman began to speak ?: Nalm.. it has been four years..

Nalm blinked wide-eyed Nalm: w...what?...

he nodded Prof. X: .. I'm sorry but that's right.. you may not have known this.. but you and everyone in Layla's apartments have been there for four years. Your powers stopped their aging, and most of their life. They have relived several days as well.

Nalm shivered Nalm: w-what?! ...

she nodded ?: the time bubble your unconscious mind created.. it made the loop continue.. they acted the same every day.. asked for the same thing.. they were all in this loop.

the professor spoke then Prof. X: then Ellie came.. and the loop was broken.

Nalm shivered Nalm: but.. why? how..

he nodded Prof. X: your powers are growing.. and they're growing beyond control.. more than that.. it is manifested at the time you were happiest. You may not remember your past.. the struggles you had in the streets..

Nalm blinked and shivered Nalm: don't... don't remind me of that.. please..

She nodded ?: i know it's hard.. but they were the true, real memories you have. You must not forget your past.

Nalm growled Nalm: I said don't! small bits of his power caused the customers to reverse walk and then return to normal. He gasped, looking around.

the professor looked to Jean who held kept the three of them from being restarted with her power. Nalm shivered Nalm: ...I... I didn't mean to...

he shook his head with a smile Prof. X: it's alright Nalm.. you can learn to control this ability.

Nalm shook his head Nalm: ...I... you said you had to speak with Ellie too.. why?

He looked to her Prof. X: ..she is.. one of us as well.. although.. there's a strong block around her mind..

Nalm looked to him Nalm: are you..

He shook his head Prof. X: no.. I am not looking into her mind but people's thoughts.. normal humans tend to seep out even the smallest thought.. hers however.. are locked from even me and Jean.

Ellie bit her lower lip a moment but spoke up quietly. "Keep it secret. Keep it safe. That's what I was told to do about mine."

he blinked Prof. X: secret and safe.. for how long though.. are you not worried about losing control?

She shook her head. "No, that's the thing. There's nothing to control. if it's used by my choice on others, they can be healed rapidly. Doesn't matter if mutant or human - One drop does it. But if someone uses my ability by force or takes it for themselves, they end up being electrified by it instead.That's the only catch to it. "

the two of them blinked as Jean nodded to him. He spoke to her Prof. X: ...this power.. it is what he is looking for.. Mister Sinister.. more than that..

Jean nodded Jean: ...her blood may even cure mutant kind..

suddenly the area rumbled as the Professor blinked Professor: ...they found us... Jean.. get them out of here..

she blinked and formed a large shield around the people and their group Jean: professor! it's too late.. the cafe is coming down. Soon the cafe collapsed on the group.

She along with Xavier moved the rubble away pushing it aside with their powers as the shield faded and the civilians ran away. rocks lifted up in the sky as spears were sent toward them. Jean redirected them to her attacker but a wall of rock blocked the attack. He stared at them as Sinister walked towards the group with the man beside him. Sinister: Ah X men.. sorry to bring down your party..

Professor X shook his head Professor X: what are you doing? this is against mutant laws!

He smiled Sinister: Mutant laws written by humans mean little to me Xavier. Avalance! Show them what happens when they defy me!

Avalance soon shook the ground as a huge crack appeared and tore open the area sending cars into it. Jean with her powers formed a bubble and lifted them all up moving them out the way but soon she was attacked by a sonic scream that shattered the bubble and caused them to fall to the ground. The group looked as another man approached with a grin. Jean shook her head surprised Jean: Ruckus?... impossible.. he's..

The professor shook his head Professor: and I can assume Avalance is a clone as well.. just how much mutant DNA do you have? Sinister!

He grinned. Sinister: Charles, there's not enough mutant DNA in this world to save them. I am simply.. keeping it all in cold storage.

soon claws pierced his chest from behind as he gasped Sinister: gahh!... w-wolverine!

Wolverine soon appeared behind him Wolverine: looks like I found you bub. How about a taste of your own medicine?

Avalance moved to attack but was sent flying into a building by a red beam. Cyclops soon appeared staring at Sinister Cyclops: think you can take us all on tough guy?

Sinister growled backing away a bit then noticed the X men jet approaching. He looked to Avalance as he rose up then smiled Sinister: this is far from over X men! I will have my prize. he snapped his fingers as Avalance whipped up a dust storm causing everyone to be blinded in it and vanished with his men. Soon after the area started to become a crowded spot.

Professor Xavier looked to Jean Professor: Jean... this is not the best place for us to be.. it's time we left.

She nodded then looked to Ellie and Nalm Jean: Ellie, Nalm, would you like to come with us?

Ellie gave a small nod. "Not going to lie, this is a lot..but yes.."

Nalm nodded Nalm: ..I don't want to go.. but i want to know about myself..

Jean smiled Jean: good to hear.. Nightcrawler.. are you ready?

soon in a flash of smoke a blue figure appeared and nodded Nightcrawler: Ja, I am ready. before they could even react he grabbed both of their hands and in an instant, the two of them vanished reappearing in front of a large mansion.

Soon after, wolverine, Jean and the professor appeared next. Wolverine groaned Wolverine: a better heads up would have been good Elf, think my stomach needs a beer.

Nalm huffed a bit looking around Nalm: ...woah.. where did.. um.. I'm confused..

Ellie blinked, taking a moment to look around in surprise but yelped out a moment later. "Holy crap, did he just teleport us!? That's so cool! A little Dizzy.. but cool..!"

The professor nodded Professor X: I've heard many people have enjoyed being teleported by Nightcrawler, but let us save that for another time. Shall we find you some rooms? Jean opened the door to the mansion as the professor and her along with the others walked inside.

Ellie followed after the others as they made their way in.

they arrived at the main hall where two more of the X-men were waiting for them. A tall beast-like man with glasses spoke to the professor confused ?: professor? I can assume you have found our friends in need?

The professor nodded and introduced the two of them Professor: Ellie, Nalm, this is Hank Mccoy, and Ororo Munroe. They teach students in our academy here and are also a valuable part of the X men.

Hank nodded to them Hank: Hello Ellie, and, Hello Nalm, it's a pleasure to meet you.

Storm nodded with a smile to them Storm: Hello Ellie, Hello Nalm. I am glad to meet you.

*Nalm blinked but bowed a bit: um hello.. I'm uh glad to meet you.

Ellie gave a small wave. "Nice to meet you, both."

The Professor looked at them Professor: I trust I can let you take care of them? Jean and I must look into the incidents at play. The others should also be returning soon.

the two of them nodded Hank: of course. We'll show you to your rooms if you like.

Wolverine huffed a bit Wolverine: Hey Chuck! what are we gonna do about the Purple Man? he's out there clonin mutants, Aint got time to show the new blood how to dance.

the professor looked to Wolverine Professor: Wolverine, if you like join us in the war room in a few minutes. We will discuss what next to do.

Nightcrawler spoke next Nightcrawler: if you please, professor, id like to look into a few things myself. I shall only be a short while away.

He nodded Professor: that will be fine Kurt, but be careful. As of right now, all eyes will be on us and our every action will be judged against all mutants..

Storm blinked Storm: would they really go so far as to judge us all based on a few mutant's actions?

Professor nodded Professor X: I'm afraid they would. If they have not already. Dolsaiev may already be planning his moves against us.. even if we are protected by the anti-mutant laws.

Wolverine growled Wolverine: if the man wants to party he gripped his fists ill bring him a funeral.

a voice called out to him ?: that would only get more people to hurt Mutants as well as hurt all we have done to help them.

Cyclops walked over with the others as the Professor nodded Professor: Cyclops is right Logan. We need to be careful about our next actions. Right now we were lucky that it did not escalate into something worse..

Wolverine blinked then pointed to a room to the side Wolverine: yeah? tell that to the six-clock news.

the group moved into the room as the news began to play on the tv. Gambit sat on the couch watching it as Wolverine nudged him to turn it up. On the news, the coffee shop destroyed in the background along with other things were seen. Reporter: ..destruction was caused by a rumble against mutant parties, no one was hurt but the amount of damage sustained cost many homes and businesses near irreplaceable damage. Already calls for action are being called but the President refuses to use direct action.

Gambit shook his head Gambit: one little squabble an deres already blood in the water. How long till da big fish start swimming towards it?

Cyclops shook his head Cyclops: that's what we're trying to prevent, gambit.

the tv shifted back to the newsroom as they spoke Newscaster: At report... hold a moment... we're going live now with a presidential response..

soon the tv showed the president around reporters. He began to speak at a podium President: Everyone, please calm yourselves. The Incident in Manhattan was very disruptive however, no one was hurt. The Mutants at the core of the incident are not to be considered a threat to society, we cannot raise this into an international incident.

people began to complain and roar out their anger to him. He waved his hands President: that! That being said! hold on now! That being said, I have already begun preparations to contact their representative! Reports on this incident will follow and we will have those responsible in custody. I can assure you we will have names. We must not take this into our own hands!

A voice spoke amongst the conference with a heavy Russian accent ?: and how do you intend to hold hands with these people this time mister President? A foolish mistake! Have you forgotten the riots of the years before?!

the president blinked President: Dolsaiev Trak.. of course, you would come out of the woodwork for this. Haven't you understood how much damage we have done to mutants already? They are our own people! we have done nothing but created rifts between us! the Sentinels, The Purifiers, Friends of Humanity. All these groups did irrep able damage to them all in what can only be called hate crimes. Discrimination should not be the foundation on which we act against others!

Dolsaiev huffed and smirked Dolsaiev: Verry good words for a man of the peace. Mutants are a threat even at a small point but I do not discriminate against them! I merely want to "keep the peace" as you say. I have lived in a world where a man nearly crushed my skull with only a thought, harmful people spread plagues amongst my family and friends to "save" themselves from being attacked out of fear, and much worse the mutant known as Magneto chaotic acts. In destroying an entire town to make an "example" he took away my only son. So I do not discriminate, I merely even the field, I want to make a team to "keep the peace". It is not only Humans that want peace, nyet! it is others.. and the first member of that team has been chosen.. comrade! if you, please..

everyone's eyes widened as a figure started to make his way into the room. The Professor looked on shocked as well Professor: No... it cant be!...

Soon an iron giant of a man walked into the room and stood beside Dolsaiev. The President was shaken but listened as he spoke. Colossus: Privyet mister President. I am Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin! Also known as Colossus by many. I vouch for comrade Dolsiev and am willing to serve in M.I.N.C.E.

Wolverine growled Wolverine: that ain't right! Chuck!

the professor nodded still shaken Professor: you are right wolverine.. Colossus would never turn against mutants.. especially since..

Hank nodded Hank: Colossus... has been dead for two years..

the President spoke once more and shook his head President: what... what is this!? Dolsaiev what have you done!? this man is most assuredly deceased!

before he could speak Colossus spoke once more Colossus: it is true, I did die.. however, thanks to comrade Dolsaiev and many other mutants and humans have brought me back! I was at first much disoriented and angry at this, but it has given me a chance to make amends for things i have done... and for time to see my sister once more. I owe this man my life, I do not fight for him just for that however, I do see his words as true! I myself have been on the end of attacks from mutants as well but I do not fight out of hate! Nyet! I fight for the protection of my family and friends and peace. If mutant kinds are the only ones who can stop mutants, then we should work with humans to stop mutants who would harm all kinds!

groups started to agree and cheer at his words. The president was taken aback. He shook his head with no words to respond. He then gathered his senses once more President: ...I.. under the circumstances I've seen so far, I must go into council with others about this situation, in this time, any smaller factions as yours Dolsaiev, that would do intent to harm mutants and detain them in any way, will be shut down. Heed me! If I find that even one mutant or human life was treated unfairly by your so-called "peacekeepers" then I will personally shut you down! You are not allowed to work on American soil! Do you hear me?! Am I clear sir!?

Dolsaiev smiled Dolsaiev: Crystal, mister President.

He nodded then spoke once more President: Now! That goes for all of us! I will meet with the council as well as Charles Xavier about the incident in question and we will come to a decision in less than twelve hours. This press conference is over. he started off as people asked questions and left the stage. The camera then went back to the newscaster as she reported all that happened.

The professor and the others quietly thought over the events. Wolverine growled Wolverine: Chuck... my claws are getting antsy.. and they ain't about to be held back much longer.. ya gotta plan do n'tcha?!

he waved his hand Professor: Calm yourself wolverine. Storm and Beast, you are in charge of the two of them. The rest of you come with me.

he left the group along with everyone else except Storm and Beast. Nalm shook his head Nalm: things are getting bad.. is it our fault..

Beast shook his head smiling Hank: I assure you young man, what has happened has nothing to do with either of you. In a sense.. this has been a long time coming.

Storm nodded Storm: come, let us take you to your rooms.

the group then moved together to the next floor. The two of them had rooms across from one another. Nalm looked around to the small room and sighed nodding Nalm: ...its been a while.. since I've had my own room..

Hank smiled Hank: Is there something wrong with them?

Nalm shook his head Nalm: .. it's not that.. it's just.. I don't see myself using them for a while..

He blinked confused Hank: oh? What do you mean by that?

Nalm shook his head Nalm: it's nothing.. for now, sir.

beast nodded then looked to Ellie Hank: I hope this room will do for you.

Ellie nodded. "It'll just be nice to have a break for a moment.. after all this."

Storm nodded Storm: indeed. When you are ready there will be food downstairs in the main room. You're welcome to join us anytime.

Ellie nodded once more but looked over at Nalm. "Ah.. with all that's been happening, I haven't had a chance.. I've been wanting to say I'm sorry. Nalm."

he blinked Nalm: for what? Saving my life? I'm sorry that you had to lose your place in the process..

Ellie stared at him a moment. "Ah, no, that's not what I meant..Your life is way more important than someplace!" She waved her hand quickly as if trying to dismiss the notion. "I'm glad you're safe! I am! I just.. I feel like you were forced out of things and into this too. I guess I was wondering what you think of all this..so far? It's a lot to take in, at least on my end."

He closed his eyes a bit Nalm: well.. i don't know where to even begin to be honest.. The only life I've known has been a repeat due to a power I never thought was possible.. and what's more, I caused it! still.. I feel like this is.. something that needed to happen.. I don't.. know what's going to happen next.. but.. I'm thankful to you for helping me wake up. So I guess ill start by saying thank you.

Ellie nodded. "It.. can be overwhelming, especially when you're learning what your powers can and can't do.. or when you're just realizing you have them for that matter. If it helps any, we can talk anytime if you ever want, whether about that or other things. And, thanks for being understanding. I guess.. I was sorry too, because I was worried you'd be mad.. "

Nalm nodded Nalm: to be honest.. I am mad.. but not at being a mutant.. and not even the way I was treated. I'm mad that I didn't know I was doing this earlier.. he shivered before.. so many years passed. I'm mad at myself. I do.. I don't even want to use these powers.. he closed his eyes maybe.. I just need some time to myself. he looked at her ..do you mind if I just take a nap. Everything hurts at the moment. I'd rather sleep to see if I can think better later.

She nodded. "I don't mind. And, I can understand. If it helps any, it's okay to be angry. But try not to let it consume you. At least you know now, which means you can try to learn how to prevent it from happening when you don't want it to."

Nalm nodded Nalm: I guess that's something ill sleep on for now.. he smiled thanks.. and for now see ya later.

She returned the smile with a small one of her own. "No problem. Hope you Rest well and See you later!" She excused herself with a small wave, and, entered the room given to her, deciding to check it out for a moment out of curiosity. She peeked in on the room, shut the door closed behind her, and stretched out on the bed, taking a moment to gather her thoughts and relax for the time being.
