I'm a self-taught artist, just trying to make a living in George Bush's corporate America (good luck!). I've been working in leather sculpture now for over fifteen years & I'm getting pretty darn good at it. Cirque Du Soleil has bought my designs, and I've sold my masks all over the world from my meager little website. Recently, I've been accepted into several galleries all over the country. The future looks bright! Watch out world, I'm coming for your expendable income.
My interests are many; I'm always looking for new ways to distract myself. I love anime & follow a couple dozen different series (including Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, Samurai Champloo, Hellsing, anything by studio Bones), and I collect manga as well (Fruits Basket, Immortal Rain, Tramps Like Us, Alice 19, etc...). I have a copy of every movie Hayao Miyazaki ever animated, directed, or breathed on.
I also play far too many video games. Current favorites are Okami, Legend of Zelda; Twilight Princess, and Final Fantasy 12 (though nothing will ever replace my love for FFX in my heart). I play both the Pikmin games and all the Tetris games...to relax. Logic puzzles are my idea of a good time. It's a damn good thing I'm self-employed.
I collect & restore Japanese weapons, & currently I have a 14th century wakizashi, a 18th century wakizashi, a Meiji era tanto, and a lovely 17th century yari...all in period koshirae. They were all "rescues" (in a horrible state when I found them), & I expect them all to outlast me by many centuries. I'm just the current caretaker.
I love animals, & am owned by a Siberian Husky named Kiba (yeah I named him after an anime character...what are you staring at?) and two cats; Dinah & Kumo. They collectively create enough excess hair that at the end of the week, if I saved it all I'd have enough biological material to knit myself another pet. Yay for my freaking Dyson.
I have a Live Journal, where I hold forth on all manner of things. Be warned; I'll sometimes use profanity for nothing more than comedic effect. I'm funny that way.
