My name is Elizabeth Staley, but everyone calls me Liz so you can too! I was born in Baltimore, MD. I went to school at the Art Institute of Washington for my Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Media Arts and Animation. Originally I wanted to open an animation studio, but my focus has changed since then.

My husband and I lived in Greenville, North Carolina for four years before moving to Greencastle, Pennsylvania. This is where we currently live with two housemates and their cat, Ozzy. I am self-employed (not UN-employed. There's a difference) as a writer, artist, and craftsperson. Currently I'm working on expanding my promotion of my business and getting more commission work for art. In addition I'm working on my second novel, which is a sequel to The Hinomoto Rebellion, which was released in 2009.

Adrastus is my first non-comedy strip comic. I've done two other short strips that can be found in the archives of my DeviantArt Gallery. If you had asked me back in high school or college if I wanted to do a comic book or strip, I would have told you I didn't have the patience for that sort of thing. But the story of Adrastus has been in my head and waiting to get out for far too long, so I've finally gotten serious about the project.
In addition to doing art and writing, I like sewing, running, playing tabletop role-playing games, studying Ancient Egypt, exercising, learning bellydance, listening to music, and watching movies, tv shows, and anime.

My favorite shows are Bones, Castle, Ghost Hunters, Mythbusters, Kitchen Nightmares, Law and Order, CSI, NCIS, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Battlestar Galactica. My favorite animes are One Piece, Slayers, Trigun, Vampire Hunter D, Berserk, Ronin Warriors (Yoroiden: Samurai Troopers), Fullmetal Alchemist, and Grandizer. My favorite comics and web-comics are Girl Genius, Transmetropolitan, Ultimate Spider-man, Y: The Last Man, Least I Could Do, Looking For Group, and Wapsi Square.
