Brief History:

Ginger Remedy was born and raised in Sumit's Hallow under the reign of Moon Widow. As much as he loved exploring, the constant threat of being devoured by the giant spider had kept him from going far from the safe zones. he would still often wander further than most other bat ponies, to the dismay of his parents and his friends. But he would come back with medicinal plants that were in short stock, even coming back with odd ones to experiment with. Ginger Remedy's Cutie Mark manifested after he had recreated a lost medicine that acted as an antivenom against spider bites.

Now that the world has been opened up to the bat ponies of Sumit's Hallow, Ginger Remedy has been eager to set out and explore the new world. Except that his nerves get the better of him. He spent his whole life being raised by generations of trapped ponies. They had all formed new mannerisms without influence from the outside world. Now Ginger Remedy finds himself worried that he'll accidentally offend an outsider and that'll spiral into all of Equestria hating him. With the Equestria Games enticing him, he had finally decided to step foot on the train and make his way to Canterlot.
