Greetings PaperDemons! As you’re aware, PDARPG isn’t the only game on the site! We’ve partnered up with several other ARPGs and are now working with Amaru: The Self-Care Virtual Pet– which you can find on the Apple App Store or Google Play– to help further our goal of encouraging positive mental health steps for creators.
A brisk wind ruffles the leaves of the dense forest, sending tiny, tree-mounted windmills spinning. Electricity sparks along the moss draped wires, zipping through the branches towards a glass-walled building containing hundreds of delicate, endangered plants from distant places. The building gives way to a school where young people learn the care and keeping of plantlife both local and exotic.
Solar panels sparkle like mosaics through the architecture, and a winged, catlike creature gently shuffles new vine growth off to the side to allow the light to reach the panels.
Living bamboo makes up the walls of the livestock shelters near the edge of the town. The nearby forest is gently cultivated to provide space and food for the livestock without infringing on the local wildlife’s resources.
A merry jangling fills the air as an impromptu concert breaks out, people pausing their work to join in or listen.
Now it’s your turn!

Prompt #1 - Introspective Journaling
Write about how creative activities improve your mental health. What do you personally do when you need something that refreshes your passion and excitement? Do you draw a million sketches? Do you talk to friends about your OCs? Write at least 200 words describing how creative activities help you. You may add one character to the queue submission for rewards, but they do not need to be mentioned in your journaling exercise.
Prompt #2 - Jagana Valley
The Jagani people are deeply in tune with their environment, striving to mesh progress and the natural world in a sustainable way. Ecoagriculture is an important centerpoint to the culture, focused on managing the environment and biodiversity. The sciences are of vital importance to the Jagani, and they are constantly developing new technology to support their people and environment equally. Show your character in Jagana Valley. Your piece must include your character and a solarpunk style forest environment.
Prompt #3 - Amaru
Amaru is a winged, catlike creature that thrives on care and kindness. Amaru is bright and affectionate, and forms strong bonds with those around them. Show your character encountering Amaru. Your piece must include your character and Amaru, though you may use any Amaru design you would like, not just the classic brown.
