A popular pet among the children of seafaring tribes, the Crested Newt is easy to care for and spends most of its time lazily drifting through the sands of beach shallows or ponds, feeding on algae and tiny critters like krill. By surrounding themselves with fish, and keeping to the center of a school, predators are more likely to target the fish instead of the newt.
