Career Rules
Steps
1. Using the form at the bottom of the page, submit each of your training entries for AP counting.
The Basics
There are 3 main occupations to choose from, but you can only choose ONE as your career at a given time.
Each job has different perks, bonuses, and abilities associated with it, so be sure to pick the one you feel will suit you the best.
These careers are Player-Bound, meaning the perks are attached to you and not an individual Stryx.
Career prompt entries cannot be doubled up with other activities or events. They are redeemable as Career entries only.
The Tiers
Each Career has 3 tiers: Novice, Apprentice, and Master.
Each tier requires 3 entries be completed in order to earn their perks.
The higher you climb in your career, the better your perks become!
Entry Requirements
The stryx used in the entries should be owned by you.
Career images may be drawn/written by you, or by someone else.
Images must be colored or shaded and include handler and a background, unless otherwise stated.
Literature should be 800 words minimum (+200 words per additional player).
Collaborations
Collaborations are allowed.
Up to three players may be included in and claim benefits from a single career entry.
If more than one player is receiving benefits from an image/lit, they all must be completing the same career path and tier.
If more than one player is using the career prompts, you will need to include one additional stryx + handler per player.
Switching Careers
If you find you aren't getting enough from your chosen's career's benefits or want to try out a different career, you may switch careers, though you need to complete all the prompts over again starting from Novice. You may apply for a career ONCE per season. After that, you may not apply to switch to another career until the next season has started.

You are dedicated to producing high quality bloodlines.

+2AP to Bonding images made by you. Other players may gain this bonus for their stryx if they link proof of your career. If the image is made by someone else, the bonus applies to only your stryx.
1 extra breeding per month
5% higher chance of producing marking mutations
Prompts
- You're only just learning what makes Stryx tick when it comes to breeding, and that sometimes tempers flare when females are in season. Draw your Stryx breaking into a fight with another male or female at their nesting area or in a large paddock, while your rider attempts to diffuse the situation.
- Your Stryx has successfully bred, but failed to produce any offspring. Draw your handler's reaction to realizing their avian Stryx has produced an unfertilized clutch of eggs as their Stryx attempts to warm the eggs, or that their mammalian Stryx has failed to get pregnant or miscarried as they build a nest.
- You've successfully reared your first clutch, you must find homes for your dragonlets! Draw your handler either gifting, selling, or auctioning three baby Stryx to new owners.

Novice
Benefits
+2AP bonus to all Fishing, Hunting, and Scavenging entries made by you. Other players may gain this bonus for their stryx if they link proof of your career. If the image is made by someone else, the bonus applies to only your stryx.
5% higher chance to find rare items or prime fish/meat when Hunting, Fishing, or Scavenging
10% more Baubles when trading in items to the Treasury
Prompts
- You've decided that life outside the bustle of civilization is one you want to learn - whether it be for some extra pocket money or if this is now your way of life. But first you must learn to feed yourself. Draw your handler and your Stryx going fishing. Who's the first to catch something? Hope it's not a boot.
- As you gain more experience of traversing the wild, you decide it's time to hunt for larger game. Draw your rider and Stryx setting up traps or pursuing an animal in the woods where your Stryx does not have room to fly. A terrestrial animal must be featured in your image.
- Now that you've learned the basics you now have free time. With that free time, you and your Stryx go exploring in the wilderness. Draw your Stryx and rider uncovering something amazing in the ground, in the bushes, or in a cave.

Your have dedicated your life to the Arena, competing in Battles, Shows, and Races, and an accomplished trainer!
Novice

1 extra Battle roll per month
Basic Training you do for any Stryx, whether owned by you or not, only requires 3/5 prompts completed.
Prompts
- Draw your handler outfitting their Stryx with armor for the very first time. What is their Stryx's initial reaction? Is it uncomfortable? Does it make them angry? Or are they curious about these new tack items?
- Your Stryx is now used to wearing full body armor, but how well do they handle it when it has to be utilized? Draw your Stryx either in flight or performing maneuvers while wearing armor to get them prepared for how their movement is affected by their new protection. (rider optional)
- It's time to start battling! Draw your Stryx locking claws with an opponent in a friendly sparring match. (rider optional)
