Brief biography: A gifted scholar Maurice had aspirations of being the top of his class in mage's college. Growing up he was overshadowed by his much more outgoing twin brother and it inspired him to study obscure topics in addition to his usual mage schoolings. This lead Maurice down the path of necromancy. Once the college took notice of his unsavory practice he was promptly expelled. Luckily for him he had the brains to have a plan B: medical school. He graduated top of his class to be a multi-specialized surgeon. Freshly out of college he became a battlefield surgeon in the planet Alkister (his homeworld) war on Earth, he practiced his experimental necromantic magics on the various doomed soliders to great success. After the war he continued his unsavory studies on more lively paitents until they caught him 10 years in and revoked his medical lisence.

Now he's hellbent on achiveing eternal life through a mix of scientific malpractice and necromancy. To make a living he offers his surgical services on the black market (and even ocassionaly rents out his personal robotic hitman). He used to experiment on his own body, until his lost his forefinger and thumb to magically-induced decay, replacing them with mechanical ones. For future experiments he resorts to using either captives or occassionally his own clones.

Maurice is ruthless and coldhearted at glance, though he harbors a secret soft spot for his family, mechanical workers and clones. It will take him ages to admit that, though considering his endgoals he'll have plenty of time to.
